What is the best thing that I love about my work?

It’s never boring. Each time I can learn something new about a place, about an artwork, about a company, about life.

What is my idea of perfect happiness?

A billion dollar question! I need to simplify, so I say that happiness for me is living genuine feelings with my family and friends. And then, enjoy life and work: following dreams, leaving back fears.

What is my greatest fear?

The sufference of the persons I love.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

Laziness. I do many things, but I could do much more.

What is my greatest extravagance?

Talking to trees. I use to do it since I was a child.

On what occasion would I lie?

If i lie, you would understand it immediatly: I am so straight! Then, maybe I could lie if it could save someone I love.

What is the influence of role models, in my work and in my life?

Important. Everyone of us needs models.

I choose exceptional ones so I can try to achieve a good level.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

Lack of time. I like to pay attention in what I am doing.

I need time to check, read, reconsider, correct and read again what I have written.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

Two weeks ago, when Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani (the most renowned Italian Encyclopedia) published the first book I have written for them.

If I could, what would I change about myself? Really, I don’t know. I feel good as I am.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

Doing what I like, and getting paid for it.

I think I am lucky and I am grateful for that.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

My studio. My house. My garden.

It’s my perfect habitat, also when I have to work and write.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?

My house. I like to choose food and wine, and I like to cook. So, I like to eat at home (and I am not the only one!).

Who is your greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My companion. No doubts about it.

Whom would I like to work with in the future?

I would like to work with everyone who can teach me something new.

What project, in the nearby future, am I looking forward to work on?

Actually, I am working on the third book for Treccani, the 8° guide for my blog http://www.ariles.it and I am writing all the communications for Natuzzi Group, one of the most important furnishing company in the world. I think it’s enough… isn’t it?
