The Heroine’s Journey of Marilyn Horowitz

What is the best thing that I love about my work? Writing. The intellectual intimacy of working one on one with other writers and the many moments of spontaneous creation.

What is my idea of perfect happiness? Being fully present in whatever moment I am in, and as an added bonus dancing a really good tango on a beach with someone I love.

What is my greatest fear? Poverty.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Impatience.

What is my greatest extravagance? Diamond jewelry, staying up late.

On what occasion would I lie? To protect someone’s feelings.

What is the influence of role models, in my work and in my life? They have made me the woman I am today.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? Too much of it.

What is my greatest achievement in work? I’ll let you know.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? My desk.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? The French Roast restaurant on West 85th and Broadway

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? So many, but especially my Authentic Movement teacher, Aileen Crow.

Whom would I like to work with in the future? Television networks, publishing houses, new students

What project, in the nearby future, am I looking forward to work on? An animated Television series, my new novel.
