What is the best thing that I love about my work? To be able to spend hours listening to music and not feel guilty about it, as it is also part of the job.
What is my idea of perfect happiness? A big mug of herbal tea, some Ella Fitzgerald in the background, the sight of nature everywhere.
What is my greatest fear? To be unhappy.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Procrastination.
What is my greatest extravagance? I guess extravagance is a part of me. I’ve always loved unusual clothes, weird make up, massive jewelry, laughing too much, swearing too loud. I think I get bored pretty easily, what makes me go for new and original instead of routine and common.
On what occasion would I lie? I try not to, I say things gently.
What is the influence of role models, in my work and in my life? I’ve only understood recently that everything happens when you’re ready for it to happen. A speech of Lauryn Hill also taught me that life is like mountains that you need to climb. You can’t stay on top of the same mountain for to long, because the next one is waiting for you.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? I’m always running after time.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? Last summer in Haute Loire. River, music, walks, great food, time to think and solitude.
If I could, what would I change about myself? I’ve decided to believe that everyone can change. So I’m becoming more patient and less moody.
What is my greatest achievement in work? Making art that I actually feel like doing. Because even if I look back and realize I wouldn’t do what I did a few years before, I am still happy with myself as I was being honest at the time.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? For ideas, le Parc de Vincennes, close to Paris. To give life to these ideas, my flat.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? La Bodega in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, a tiny little bar where Joël makes his own Rhum (coco is definitely n°1 for me).
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? So many but I’d say my “spiritual singer” and great friend Jessica Fitoussi.
Whom would I like to work with in the future? Dansers, singers and other music producers, film makers. The list is pretty long, I’d better start now.
What project, in the nearby future, am I looking forward to work on? The release of my second EP, Colorful Shores. I’m very excited about working on the video clips, live set and preparation of the release.
