The Heroine’s Journey of Vedrana Egon

What is the best thing that I love about my work?

The creative freedom. Travels. Collaboration with creative minds alike. Watching the transformation from the page to the screen. The whole creative process which is quite fascinating and exhilarating. The fact that every day is a different, unique experience. Plus I get the power to punch, kill or ridicule the type of characters I deplore in real life if I wish to do so, so I get to have the last word or you can say I get to play God, which is always fun.

What is my most treasured possession?

I am terribly romantic and sentimental, so I still collect personal memorabilia (photographs, postcards, love letters,  poems, sketches, doodles, used concert tickets and theatre stubs, wine corks, etc.) despite my Sarajevan war experience which quickly taught me the impermanence of things at the very young age. Or maybe I collect because of it, for the same reason I make films, music or write-to steal moments, (to remind myself that I’m human and that I am alive), to build upon my life and leave some footprint behind, extend it a moment further into the future.
