What is the best thing that I love about my work?
It’s the possibility of reaching people through my Energy and my desire to comunicate, to look into their eyes and feel their connection. It’s the desire to plant a seed of hope and wonder in their hearts.
What is my idea of perfect happiness?
It is to be able to do as much theatre as I can and be able to live from that. Perfect happiness is when I’m on stage, but it’s also the research before creating a new devised piece.
What is my greatest fear?
My greatest fear is that I could have to leave my work as an actress/creator in order to make money to pay for every day expenses.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
I sometimes get a little aggressive when I feel that something or someone is unjust towards someone else or when something I care about is questioned without “openness”. This makes me wish I could handle things and discussions with people in a more calm way.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?
I admire all those people that could succeed in their work without having to make compromises to change their art in order to make it “sellable”
What is my greatest extravagance?
As much as i can understand from what people tell me, I have a few. I think my greatest extravagance is my need to be independent, often also emotionally…
On what occasion would I lie?
I would lie to protect someone.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
It is when I have to work with people that aren’t curious or open enough (or sometimes just too arrogant) to challenge themselves to live the theatrical life and work as a continuous discovery.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
The happiest moments are when I enter the stage, I’ve been just so afraid to be in front of an audiance, shaky and nervous to fuck it up and suddenly I forget about my self and I’m just there. Alive, hundred procent present.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I would want to be able to organize my time better in order to study more, to read more, to discover more.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
Being able to throw my self completely into the research and rehearsel and being able to be fully concentrate in the work, with body and soul.
Where would I most like to live?
I would like to live where ever my work is. Right know it is in Italy, before it has been in Berlin, but I am totally ready to go anywhere my work would require to.
What is my most treasured possession?
It is my akordeon.
What is my most marked characteristic?
I am very much of a “lunar” person.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
It is a training room, and my kitchen at night, with candles, music and the sound of the river outside of my window.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?
I don’t have a particular one.
What books influenced my life and how?
There are plenty of books that inflenced my life. When I was a child it has been Isabel Allende, her writing had a very strong influence in my personal and political development. Now i relate to books in many different ways. Some are important for the research for the creation of a theatrical piece, some other are important to find hope, others are for keeping the intellect alive, some are to find poetry in life…

Certainly my mother and my amazing colleagues.

I would like to keep working with my theatre company, my beautiful crazy gang, the Bämsemble Company!

I would love to meet Robert Wilson, Tilda Swinton, Isabelle Huppert, Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, Geoffrey Rush, Toni Servillo…
What project, in 2018, am I looking forward to work on?
I would want to be on tour with „Salt“ a piece by the Bämsemble Company and I “La Fame” a Duo Project that I have but of course I would want to work on many other projects.

Travelling around doing theatre.
What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me?
It means I will keep fighting to do everything in order to be able to work on my projects and to create more theatre with more amazing artists, even if it means that I have to do shitty jobs in order to be able to sostain my dream. Unfortunately in Italy it is very difficult to make money from your art.
