The Heroine’s Journey of Alexandra Dimitrova

What is the best thing that I love about my work? I love reaching to another more sensitive world. I love the touch, understanding and the fusion with the other person, the relationship we build up with each other – without words and unnecessary explanations, just telepathy…just another level of human communication. Also that we can heal the soul of the person.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? That our work is often underestimated.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? In the graphic studio and in the photography lab, but maybe that was because of the chemicals we work with 😀

During my studies at the National Academy of Arts, majoring in „Books and Print Graphics“, Bachelor Degree, I created the art-therapeutical book „Shu and Shi“. It is an innovative project aimed at helping children and adults cope with the loss of their relatives. Death is a topic that is often overlooked and underestimated, with severe consequences and mental traumas. The book is interactive, glowing in the dark and giving peace and security. This project is innovation in the fields of art therapy and art books. Up to now, 20 copies have been issued, curently seeking sponsors and publishers for its subsequent realization, so we can reach and help to more people.
