What is the best thing that I love about my work?
I love to have an impossible idea – and work it out till it’s come through to live.
What is my idea of perfect happiness?
Doing something I love to do and have loving relationships with people around me.
What is my greatest fear?
My greatest fear is a fear of failure- that don’t have enough resources to be able to continue to do what I like.
I am afraid of the heights as well.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
Speaking before I think))
I also intend to lose my focus sometimes- I react on things that happens around me – and that makes me distracted from my main goal.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?
I admire films of William Kentridge.
Also I love works of Leon Tarasevich – Belarussian painter, that lives in Poland ( in border with Belarus).
Many more great living artists that I admire – but no name that comes now to my mind.
What is my greatest extravagance?
I’m not following main pattern- I can start dancing or singing in the party ( when I like the sound) when everyone is still shy out.
On what occasion would I lie?
I used to make up a stories ( when I was young) – to get some small financial benefits ))
Most of the time people would believe my stories, because it was accompanied with realistic details.
Now I think is the best to be honest and transparent to the people, and have the courage to present things how they are.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
Administration work- it’s a part of the projects, but when it’s become too much administration work- I don’t like it.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
When I was packing Gerrit Rietveld pavilion building in a pink plastic folly for my project )) I was not super happy at that moment, more – I felt as a big failure- but looking back- it’s become one of my favorite works.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
Afraid less, follow more my intuition and passion.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
It’s difficult to value – I feel proud when I started a new media in my work and make it finished. For example, for my end exam in school I did an animated film- media that I did not work before.
I was very challenging, but I succeeded- that made me very happy.
Where would I most like to live?
Currently, I’m at Curacao – for research and a project. Looks like a nice place to be- as I like to wake up early and my sport- here I can just swim in the ocean in the morning when is not so hot.
In general I’m enjoying every country where I can realize my creative potential the most.
What is my most treasured possession?
I’m trying to have how much little possessions is possible – as a few times in my live I have to leave my houses and countries- and each time I promise myself to live with little stuff. My treasures ( not a possessions ) are dear people that I met during my lifetime- human life and soul is the most important treasure that you can have in life, I think.
What is my most marked characteristic?
I m spontaneous and outgoing person.
I came from Belarus – East Europe- and people in Holland can notice my East European look. However, now in Curacao people think that I’m Dutch- as I’m gray-eyed and my heir is light.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
My current studio is located in the heart of Amsterdam- close to Rembrandt plain, in the building of UVA ( University of Amsterdam). Its a beautiful historical location, but too touristic on my view. I love to walk at the water side near by of
Beam house Amsterdam- I got inspired by water and light of this part of the city of Amsterdam.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?
I like vegetarian-vegan restaurant Spirit ( in the corner of Car Piterstraat in Amsterdam) – as I have a friend working there and I like food there as well. Also I like Bazar in a Pijp too- it’s a big Turkish restaurant in the middle of the market.
What books influenced my life and how?
I love writings of Lev Shestov- writer and philosopher, his critical approach and argumentation inspire me a lot.
I think the Bible has influenced my life the most.
Who are my favorite writers?
Lev Shestov, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Daniil Charms, Vladimir Mayakovsky.

Maybe “Their is No Grave That Holds my Body Down’ by Johnny Cash.

Jonathan from ‘Everything Is Illuminated’.

My friends artists that have a courage to live their dream 🙂

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
For now is my partner in art and crime – Avantia Damberg( artist) we are planning to have a project in Curacao together.
Whom would I like to work with in 2019/2020?
At this moment I’m planning collaborative projects with Avantia Damberg -we are planning to do a series of wall paintings in a public space in Curacao and Qing Liu (designer& architect) we are planing a project in Amsterdam.

I’m always exited to meet new people that passionate about what they are doing.

I hope to continue with the idea that I started in 2019- to make series of interventions in public space in Curacao.
