What is the best thing that I love about my work? the power to comunicate through creativity. I’m a footwear designer so the world, sensations and philosophy that you can communicate with what you wear it’s the main point of everything.

What is my idea of perfect happiness? waking up in the morning happy for what we have with no regrets.

what is my greatest fear? The fear to not be able to my life without love and passion. The most important impulse to improve myself day by day by now to the future.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? I am still too sensitive. Inside the work world you have to be smart, brilliant, every time focused and ready to do the best of you, but at the same time you have to fight for your position; you need to be very strong and self confident. Maybe I’m still too young to have all these characters, but I’m working on it.

Which living person in my profession do I most admire? My bosses. They created an empire. A world inside the fashion industry strong and with a big identity.

What is my greatest extravagance? If I knew it I would be extravagant anymore.

On what occasion would I lie? To protect someone I care about and don’t make him suffer.

What is the thing I dislike the most in my work? The frivolity, turning around things without a goal.

When and where was I the happiest in my work? Now in Florence. I have a good position and, most important, my coworkers are my family.

If I could, what would I change about myself? I would change my consideration of me. I would like to look at me in the mirror and don’t want to change nothing about me. I want to love myself for my fragilities, my complexities and beauties.

What is my greatest achievement in work? The love I have for anything I do. if a project is made with love, you can see it!

Where would I most like to live? In New York; a city so full of charm and stimulation. Another place where I would like to live is some city of Canada near ,maybe, a lake . I love being in the middle of wild nature! In a house with retro flavors, a bit romantic, but at the same time precise and accurate. I hate aseptic environments without personality. They are so empty! They terrify me !!

What is my most treasured possession? My ability to move from one topic to another and to be able to see many projects in a broad way. This is very important in my work. Sometimes an idea or a technique can come from a completely different sector than mine.

What is my most marked characteristic? My radiance. I am a person who always has a smile on her face and burst of life and energy, even if it is not always easy!

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? When I’m tired and in search of harmony I go to Fiesole (a small town above Florence). It is a very ancient place from which it dominates the whole of Florence. In Fiesole there is an ancient Roman theater. I love to walk there, contemplating the ruins and savoring the silence.

What is my favorite place to eat and drink in my city? To go to drink with friends I love going to the Santa Croce area; while if I have to go back and share moments among people I prefer Santo Spirito. There is a lot of folklore in the evening.

What book influenced my life and how? One of the most important book is for sure Louis Isidore Kahn’s book. This book is about the life of one of the most important architect in history. This book teaches me a method and a different way to approach a project. Louis Kahn used to put spirituality and energy inside his creations.

who are my favorite writers? One of my favorite books is “The Perfume” by Süskind. Another book I really love is “the man who exchanged his wife for a hat” by Oliver Sacs. I love the essays on psychology, neurology and anthropology. 1

You only die once. What music would I listen on my last day? King Crimson – epitaph

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? for sure Bridget Jones! She’s is a fighter, despite the many problems. You have to love her “as She is” … so as well as all women

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? My parents. They did incredible things!

What movie would you recommend us to see once in a lifetime? Pane e Tulipani (Bread and Tulips) by Soldini. This film is a poem! A light comedy with a basic depth that is not obvious

What role plays art in my life and work? All! I am specialized in Art History and for my work it is essential to have a deep knowledge of it. how can art be made without knowing its history?

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My colleagues and my bosses. They always push me in new directions with ever more stimulating perspectives, without ever devaluing me, indeed, having trust in me!

Whom would I like to work with in 2019? One of the brands I love most is definitely Adidas. I love the super sportsman and I admit that it would be very exciting to have the chance to be able to work together

Which people in my profession would I love to meet in 2019? Dominic Chambrone, of the Shoes Surgeon; one of the most important shoes modeller of the moment. And Mr. Bailey of Concept Kids, a product designer specialized on the footwear design.

What project in 2019 am I looking forward to work on? some innovative projects concerning soles and new shoe technologies

Where can you see me or my work in 2019? I don’t know where I will be, but for sure I will create something new and crazy in the footwear sector

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? It’s a very good phrase! Passion is the basis of everything. passion drives us in love, in work or even in other things. Without passion everything dies, everything becomes “aseptic” … terrible!
