Knowledge. I am a journalist and a very curious person. Talking to people, understanding other perspectives is an invaluable wealth. A treasure that I appreciate every day.

Being in love; be surrounded by people who love me.

What is my greatest fear?

Human malice and stupidity: wars, torture, dictatorships frighten me; the fascist madness: that “will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing”. I am less afraid of natural disasters: because I know, we can help each other.

Ha a che fare con la cattiveria e la stupidità umane; mi fanno paura le guerre, le torture, le dittature; la follia fascista che fa sì che chi sta male se la prenda con chi sta peggio e non con la causa del suo soffrire. I tend to cancel myself when I love, I sacrifice everything. Sometimes I am too available.

I don’t want to sound arrogant, but I don’t particularly like journalists.

I dance in the middle of the street, I don’t worry what people think, I always have my own opinion despite what people think.

Villa Ada. A large wild park. I go there every day. When I am there, I feel like the goddess Diana who wanders through the woods. It is a place where to get lost, it is a catapult to another dimension. Wonderful.

What books influenced my life and how?

When I was a child I spent my time with books. And these books made me who I am. For example, I was Joe, one of the “Little Women sisters”, I ate apples like her and I wrote stories like her and like her I wanted to adopt children. I did it. My psychologist was aghast. I was married to a German professor, just like the heroine of my novel. But it was a coincidence.

Quando ero piccolo divoravo i libri, passavo intere giornate sul letto a leggere come una pazza. E questi libri mi hanno reso ciò che sono. Erano sempre storie molto commoventi, drammatiche, moraliste, romantiche. Per esempio io ero Joe, una delle sorelle di Piccole donne, come lei amavo scrivere e sgranocchiare mele. E come lei volevo adottare mille bambini. La mia psicologa, quando ho fatto domanda di adozione, è rimasta strabiliata. Ero sposato con un professore tedesco, proprio come l’eroina del mio romanzo. Però io non ci avevo fatto caso.

Moltissimi amici cari. Penso ad Andrea Costa, a Viola de Andrade Piroli, a Valentina Greco, a Sabrina Iacobucci, tutte persone che si impegnano tutti i giorni per gli altri. Per esempio per organizzare la vita a Roma di rifugiati senza tetto, non facendo la carità ma cercando di ascoltare, capire; di essergli vicino con fantasia; portando ragazzi sperduti a vedere le bellezze di Roma, organizzando piccoli party per loro; mai trattandoli come esseri venuti da un altro pianeta, ma come amici da accogliere. Sono persone che non solo non ricevono mai un grazie dalla cittá di Roma e dal mio paese, l’Italia, ma che vengono anche maltrattate: sfrattate, redarguite dalla polizia, martirizzate.

Art is a therapy, it has always saved me in moments of sadness, it gives me strong emotional independence.

Yes, Yes sure. I always feel part of a story. So many crazy things happen to me, I could write a thousand novels about my life and the people I meet.

Many! I would like to change my life. The big movie houses for my many subjects that I write and keep in my drawer; a famous publishing house for my novel that I have almost finished in these quarantine days. I am tired of working alone on the computer and writing texts, I would be very pleased to become a communications manager for a large company. I just sent my resume to Peroni. Who knows.

Tante perché vorrei cambiare vita da un po’. Le grandi case cinematografiche per i miei tanti soggetti che scrivo e che tengo nel cassetto; una famosa casa editrice per il mio romanzo che ho quasi finito in questi giorni di quarantena. Però per tornare con i piedi per terra, poiché sono stufa di lavorare da sola al computer e scrivere testi mi piacerebbe molto diventare manager della comunicazione per una grande azienda. To Marco Tullio Giordana I would like to propose a film that would be suitable for his style, Elio Germano is the ideal protagonist of many of my imagined films. Matteo Levi is a good producer.
