What is the best thing that I love about my work?
I make my living by modelling to the artists. I am a life model but I wouldn’t call it work. That’s exactly what I like about it because I don’t like to work.
What is my idea of happiness?
Total independence.
What is my greatest fear?
Not having any money.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
Punctuality and self-discipline. These two are the hardest for me. The rest I can handle.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?
I don’t know how the others work because modelling is a one-man show. When at a session, I mostly work alone with a group or an artist, and I just don’t have a way to know how the others do it. Each life model makes their own rules to follow and to present themselves. Also, life modelling is a very intuitive thing: if you are good, artists will invite you often to their sessions. Thus, some of us have more clients than the others. I guess, I respect the models who have more clients.
What is my greatest extravagance?
I’m a bisexual.
On what occasion would you lie
On any occasion I deem necessary.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
I don’t make enough money.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
Wherever I feel emotional feedback from the people drawing me.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
My metabolism.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
I am good at what I do.
Where would I most like to live?
In different places, depending on a season.
What is my most treasured possession?
My son
What is my most marked characteristic?
Reliability.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
Between the old Jaffa buildings and relatively new city of Tel Aviv, at the sea-front marking a border between the land and the water.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?
I am a great cook, so I prefer eating in with my family.
What books influenced my life and how?
With the years, I suddenly realized that beatnik generation literature had a strong influence upon me. They’ve shown me how one could find themselves in the society while confronting all its canons and how to accept the reality while observing it.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?
I’d listen whatever they put on.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
I don’t follow idols and I don’t believe in heroes.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
I appreciate highly professional skills, no matter what the job is.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?
There are lots of great movies by many film directors. I don’t want to pick something out. There are the lists of the top movies. Different people find enlightenment in different things.
What role plays art in my life and work?
I am a very visual type, and it is important for me that the objects, the actions and the people would be in harmony.
What do the words You are the storyteller of your own life to me?
I don’t look at life this way.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
My partner in life
Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2020?
With smart people and successful companies.
Which people in my profession who can make a real difference in my creative career would i love to meet in 2020?
I am the only one who can make a real difference. Of course, I won’t mind if some wealthy art lovers would help me with that.
What project, in 2020, am I looking forward to work on?
Recently, when the COVID 19 crisis started, I started an online modelling project where any artist from anywhere in the world can join. I think it is a nice idea for the future.
Where can you see me or my work in 2020?
I am modelling in Israel, I write about it and I post the photos on my FB page.
