What is the best thing that I love about my work?
An essence of freedom. My drawings are influenced by the language of symbols, allegorical alchemy and magical realism. Every piece of work is like some visual poem. I enjoy reading these surreal stories, every line symbolizes never-ending pilgrimage of human beings. I often cooperate with an artistic underground. Their philosophy is to create freely without any borders and this connection is very inspiring.
What is my idea of happiness?
For me it is an internal balance and self-acceptance. This is closely related to the perception of reality. I try to get rid of inner and outer addictions. They make us unhappy, because we follow subjects of these addictions and it makes us absolutely lost in an unbreakable circle.
What is my greatest fear?
I believe that fear is just a state of mind, which is not very useful. There is a choice to accept our fear, or to change it into something more rational.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
I don´t deplore anything. That means I prefer recognizing my mistakes and learning from my imperfection.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?
There is a lot of inspiring people in my life. I admire every person, who works with passion and with humility. I believe that we are not the owners of our possible success. It is just a part of our learning.
What is my greatest extravagance?
My extravagance is hidden in my introversion and nourishes my introspective world.
On what occasion would I lie?
I prefer truth.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
There is nothing I would dislike in my work. Sometimes it is quite surprising. I can have an idea how the final piece of art should look like. But finally, there is a different story. And I need to know how to read it.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
I am happiest when my drawing finds a new home and makes the new owner happy.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I wouldn´t change anything. I´m respectful to all sides of my personality.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
Every new piece is great achievement. It is quite a long journey to create it. There is an inspiration, a hint of meditation, rationality, emotions, tiredness, details, doubts… And finally, the new drawing telling the new visual story.
Where would I most like to live?
There are two aspect I need. First, the purity and peace of nature. Second, the energy of the city full of history and culture. I try to find some compromise.
What is my most treasured possession?
What is our possession. That is the question.
What is my most marked characteristic?
I´m the whole system of different characters trying to cooperate.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
My city is very nice, full of history. But the most inspirational location for me is The Lednice-Valtice cultural landscape. This area is quite close. And I love travelling there for my inspiration.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?
I enjoy the bohemian atmosphere of traditional tearooms and small cafes. They often offer cultural events, such as exhibitions, performances and concerts.
What books influenced my life and how?
An unfinished book of my own life.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?
Probably the singing of birds and whispering of leaves.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
I don´t have any fictitious heroes.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
Every person is a hero or a heroine of their own life. In a bad way, or in a good way.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?
I like surreal, unconventional short movies. Czech director Jan Švankmajer is the good example of that kind of works.
What role play stories in my life and work?
My whole life is a story. My work as well.
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me?
To become a storyteller, I need to write the story of my own life first.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
I appreciate my friends and my family, who are my fans and my critics at the same time.
What project, in 2021, am I looking forward to work on?
I would like to finish the triptych Hell, Purgatory and Heaven. It is quite a large work divided into three papers. Hell has already been finished. Then I am looking forward to new projects ,,The Others” inspired by the medieval bestiary.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me?
That’s tricky. We all stumble in our own passions. Sometimes I have quiet conversations with my ones.
