What’s is the best thing that I love about my work?About my job I love the time spent alone. The space and the time dedicated to drawing, observation and research.

What’s my idea of happiness?My idea of happiness lies in reading, drawing and walking. And in a specific place, in Venice. 

What’s my greatest fear? The lack of independence. 

What’s the trait that I most deplore in myself?The excess of perfectionism. The restlessness.

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?Kiki Smith, Joanna Concejo, Viola Niccolai, Dimitri Anastasiou, Lisbeth Zwerger, David Hockney, Tetsuya Noda, Vija Celmins.

What is my greatest extravagance?Collect animal teeth and bones. 

On what occasion would I lie?To protect who I love.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?Intellectual egotism, formal inconsistency.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?When I set up exhibitions. When I have finished an illustrated work. 

If I could, what would I change about myself?I should learn to dare more, try to be less reserved. 

What is my greatest achievement in work?When my drawings and my words excite, they move but, above all, when they encourage a personal journey of research.

Where would I most like to live?I would like to live in Venice, in Paris. Wherever where I can go to exhibitions, where there was water, courtyards… in a city rich in history and past. And university. 

What is most treasured posesssion?Family, friends and nature. And my independence. 

What is most marked characteristic?The coherence, the deep and acute observation of external things, both of people and places. The withholding of secrets. 

What is most inspirational location, in my city?The fields, the water channels, the countryside where I live. 

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?I don’t have a favorite place to eat, I prefer picnics and eat at my mother’s house.

What role play stories in my life and work?Stories are possibilities: without stories we are nothing and nobody. Each person is already a story; we have to learn to tell it. 

What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me?Being able to be connected with the reality external to our being, without being overwhelmed. Be consistent with personal needs.

Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2021?For some textile companies, for some Korean publishing houses.

Which people in my profession who can make a real difference in my creative career would I love to meet in 2021?David Hockney.

What project, in 2021, am I looking forward to work on? I am working on a classical and very famous text, an illlustrated story.

Where can you see me or my work in 2021?About The Ferrus, indian book with English text: it’s an illustrated book. Probably, in the next art exhibition.
