What is the best thing that I love about my work? Inspiration comes before writing, and it can come at any moment, especially when you least expect it. Inspiration is the best part of my work, because it contains within itself the divine part of us, that pure and unconditioned part, which if listened to morally and spiritually elevates the human being from matter as an end in itself.

What is my idea of happiness? Happiness for me is contained in a small seed, the idea, from which a masterpiece of pure art can be born.

What is my greatest fear? My greatest fear is not being able to communicate what I feel to the people closest to me, affections are the engine of everything.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? I don’t like the ability of not knowing how to say no!  I often put the needs of others before mine.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? Without a doubt in the world of cinema I strongly admire some Italian directors who inspired me in my work, such as P. Avati, G.Muccino , P.Virzì, because they tell Italy made up of authentic emotions made by authentic people, they are directors of soul. I admire so much Woody Allen, and Ridley Scott.

What is my greatest extravagance? Walk in the woods in silence and listen to the voice of Nature.

On what occasion would I lie? I would lie to help someone in need, or myself if it was for a good purpose.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? In my work I don’t like superficiality and carelessness, I always look for people next to me who look like me and who take the project to heart exactly as if it were theirs.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? The first victory is never forgotten. My first work “Silent Witnesses” when it was screened and even before the end of the screening the audience in the hall stood up and applauded, because they understood my message, that was an unforgettable moment in my career.

If I could, what would I change about myself? I am very stubborn and fussy.

What is my greatest achievement in work? In addition to the Trophy and awards since my first work, my greatest success is represented by the important people for my path that I have gradually met, they have been great masters and I will always be grateful to them for this.

Where would I most like to live? In a mountain hut in contact with nature.

What is my most treasured possession? Affections, love, empathy.

What is my most marked characteristic? I am communicative and very creative, but my best feature I think is intuition.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? The small stream that flows behind my house, I listen to it often and it always has a different voice, listening to it in the quiet is for me a source of inspiration for many of my works.

What books influenced my life and how? Cinema according to Hitchcock,  cinema according to Orson Welles, The Bridges of Madison County, The girl with the Pearl Earring

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? Soundtrack of “Out of Africa”.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Karen from “Out of Africa”, and Francesca from “The Bridges of Madison County”.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? I have always admired all the volunteers of all types of associations,  people that are motivated by  only the desire to do good, without economic reasons.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? Out of Africa , The Bridges of Madison County , The Pursuit of Happiness , The Sweet Life , Me and Annie .

What role play stories in my life and work? Stories are essential in my work and in my life. From these I draw inspiration to bring to the screen in the hope that they can some small emotion in the viewer.

What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me? That every day, consciously or unknowingly, each of us is the director, the screenwriter of his own masterpiece, called life.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? Everyone who has collaborated with me is very important.

What project, in 2021, am I looking forward to work on? I am writing the film script  with Gualtiero Serafini, based on my original idea, regarding the world of balsamic vinegar DOP of Modena, in conjunction with its promotion to UNESCO 2021 heritage. It is a beautiful story of traditions and family values ​​linked to the territory over four generations. That beautiful Italy that can still make us move.
