What is the best thing that I love about my work?

Contact with other people and dialog. These are things I miss too much especially now, during lockdown. Talking to other people is a gift, it is wealth.

What is my idea of happiness?

Nobody knows what happiness is. I think being positive and seeing the world with eyes full of love helps in being happy. Happiness is a smile to an unknown person on the street, is a nice gesture, love to others living beings, love to our family, love to ourselves.

What is my greatest fear?

Fear is always inside us. We fear of what we don’t know. I have some little fears but nothing I can’t control. Sometimes, I am afraid of the world which will appear after Covid…

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

Too honest and realistic.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?

My favorite journalist is and always has been Indro Alessandro Raffaello Schizogene Montanelli. He was an Italian journalist, historian and writer. He was one of the 50 World Press Freedom Heroes according to the International Press Institute. No one told the history of Italy like he did.

What is my greatest extravagance?

Living in Italy (smile). Everybody says I am crazy living in Italy. Maybe they’re right but what would life be without a little bit of madness?

On what occasion would I lie?

I hate lies but I could lie if that could save someone’s life.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

Lots of hours on the computer. Too much stress for my body. I need lots of pilates exercises and shiatsu massages in the end.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

The day my first book “Le prove dell’esistenza” [The proof of existence] came out on the Italian market. It was the crowning achievement of all my literary work.

If I could, what would I change about myself?

I am not sure if I would like to change. I am not perfect but I like myself as I am.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

Like I said before, at the moment it is the publication of my first book.

Where would I most like to live?

I live in a country of my dreams: Italy and in the city of my dreams: Rome. For me this country is the most beautiful in the world.

What is my most treasured possession?

My treasured possession is my brain and sense of humour. I couldn’t manage by myself without it. These two features saved my life lots of time.

What is my most marked characteristic?

Ease of making new contacts. I am open to the world and people. I love to study, to know, to understand.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

Everything, every single angle of this city is a piece of art. Rome is a magical city, difficult but incredibly beautiful.

What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?

My favorite are: Le Tavernelle and Trattoria Romana in Monti district. Felice in Testaccio district. Forno Campo de’ Fiori and Ristorante Archimede in the old town.

What books influenced my life and how?

I read so many books… It’s impossible to mention them all. Books are part of my life, my life structure. I fell in love with Italo Calvino’s Cosmicomics. Every story there is a memory of an event in the history of the universe. That reflects my philosophy. I like to study everything because every science is part of the Universe. The second book that revolutionized my life was The Indo-Europeans and the Origins of Europe. Language and History by Francisco Villar Liébana. Thanks to this publication I understand how all Europeans are connected and how the language reflects our way of being.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?

Chopin. Moving. So close to my heart. So romantic. Beautiful.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

I don’t have a one favorite fiction. My favorite heros are those who catch bad people (smile).

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?

Heroine was my mom to me. She passed away but I will always remember her heroism.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?

I would recommend Jojo Rabbit by Taika Waititi with Scarlett Johansson. It’s a black tale that measures the impact of war and fascism on innocent spirits.

What role play stories in my life and work?

I listed to the stories and I use them to write. I talk about people’s life. The stories create me and teach understanding.

What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me?

We are all storytellers. Our life consists of many stories of other people, of stories read in books, of our stories telling us by parents and grandfathers. We tell our stories. Life itself is a storyteller.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

In the last years, definitely, my dad. I have also other fans such as my life partner, Hernàn José Benchaya, my friend director, Mauro Conciatori, who realised the video for my book, my journalist friend Anna Sabat, that is my life sunshine.

Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2021?

I would like to work with RAI LIBRI (Tv Italy) and TVP Kultura (Tv Poland), write an article or tell my story to Vanity Fair, send my book to Roberto Saviano and Vittorio Sgarbi to hear their opinion on it and find a good Polish, English and Spanish editor to publish my book in different languages.

Which people in my profession who can make a real difference in my creative career would i love to meet in 2021?

I would love to meet Polish Ambassador to Italy, Anna Maria Anders, Italian First Minister, Mario Draghi and Roberto Saviano to chat with him for a while.

What project, in 2021, am I looking forward to work on?

I would like to bring “Le prove dell’esistenza”, my book, to the theatre. I have an idea. As soon as it will be possible I will realise a play, first in Italy, then we will see. At least I would like to do it a lot.
