What is the best thing that I love about my work? 

I appreciate my company’s – Lynk & Co – entrepreneurial drive: rolling up our sleeves and creating something out of nothing. We have a great team – my favorite thing about my work on the daily – that genuinely wants to change up our sector. It’s great starting point for creativity and innovation.

What is my idea of happiness? 

Nothing matches the space I get to be myself, every day.

What is my greatest fear? 

Finding myself face-to-face with a shark when surfing. I know that statistically, this almost never happens outside of movies and cartoons – still terrified.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? 

I struggle to find rest when always on the move and working on something new. More and more, I value finding calm and peace in my daily life.

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire? 

Lidewij Edelkoort for her vision and perspective.

What is my greatest extravagance? 

I can be rather fearless. Unbridled energy, I guess.

On what occasion would I lie? 

Little white lies don’t hurt, especially if they are intended to help someone out. Like when my son asks me if there is any more chocolate in the house…. He somehow finds it anyways.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

The obstacles that stand in the way of innovation, improvement or new perspectives in my field.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

I was truly happy when I had my own agency in the Netherlands. But also now at Lynk & Co.

If I could, what would I change about myself? 

I would not change a thing. I have learned to embrace all aspects of myself, from the ones I love to the ones I love less!

What is my greatest achievement in work? 

The lessons I have learned with every career step I make.

Where would I most like to live? 

Anywhere near the beach and the waves, surrounded by nature. The goal is and always should be: surf more!

What is my most treasured possession?

My mother gave me a beautiful golden ring that I never take off.

What is my most marked characteristic? 

My voice! It’s how people recognize me.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

Lynk & Co’s Club in Berlin, of course! On Münzstraße 21-23, in the heart of Berlin’s creative neighborhood Mitte. A space for cultural events, DJ nights, but also for good coffee and co-working. You might walk in for a test drive, but you stay for Berlin culture combined with our Lynk & Co vibe. There’s always something new to discover here, or interesting minds to meet!

What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city? 

I love Ryong Berlin/ Veggie happiness.

What books influenced my life and how? 

The power of now by Eckhart Tolle, because You Only Die Once.

What music would I listen on my last day?

I did it my way by Frank Sinatra. I know it is very cliché, but it’s no surprise that so many great artists have covered this song – a true classic. ☺

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

Wonderwoman. She feels like all women are, doing the impossible every single day. Multitasking on so many levels. Empowered!

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? 

My mom, without a doubt. Inspiration from day one.

Which movie would i recommend seeing once in a lifetime? 

Once in a lifetime, sure, but I watch these at least once a year: every single Star Wars movie.

What role do stories play in my life and work? 

Storytelling itself is at the heart of my work.

What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me? 

Everything… I am a storyteller by heart since I can remember. I can say that storytelling is my life!

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? 

My partner, for sure.

Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2022?

What project, in 2022, am I looking forward to work on?

Lynk & Co is expanding in Europe. We’re opening a Club in Barcelona soon – keep an eye out, it’s just the beginning.
