What is the best thing that I love about my work?
I have the privilege to work in a profession that also allows me, to follow my dream. That makes me feel that I have a noble pursuit to undertake. Art came into my life when I was not so young but it came not to leave because it completely transformed my life.
What is my idea of happiness?
Even by the fact that we live in a world that gives us ample reasons for pain and that the nature of happiness can be confusing, fleeting and abstract; I bet for the development of the capacity to enjoy with less, in this way I try to appreciate the basic pleasures and be aware that It does not depend on destiny or on others, but on the person himself, on his behavior and character. Be aware that it is not about feeling pleasant sensations all the time, as this is not viable and can cause false expectations.
Happiness is something that is built day by day and it is necessary to become aware of our human condition and what this means.
What is my greatest fear?
Being a mother of a beautiful son, my biggest fear would be not performing in the best possible way the task that I set myself when I bring him into the world. I can handle failing to myself, but not to a little person who put all his trust in me. However, I understand this as a feeling that is present in many moms and perhaps is what keeps us giving our best. Means that the even the feeling of fear can be used to take the right path.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
My inability to keep some memories, after all, we are what we are because of our memories.
Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?
I admire any simple person who gets up every day to give their best and try to earn a living with this profession. This statement reveals a bit about my current personal circumstances as an emerging artist. I also admire any artist who above all performs their work honestly.
What is my greatest extravagance?
I don’t remember buying something that I spent a lot of money on that I didn’t need. My life is simple.
On what occasion would I lie?
On some occasions. When someone asks me if I’m okay and I’m really not okay, when I feel like lying is the right thing to do, or when I know I’m not going to hurt someone.
However, in my defense, I try to stay sincere as much as possible.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
I really don’t dislike a thing about my work or at least I haven’t had a bad experience so far.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
Right now. Professionally, I am living one of the happiest moments. I have a whole panorama before me that is full of hope.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
The problematic habit of the never ending spiral of thoughts called overthinking.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
Being able to connect with people through what I develop in my art. If someone feels moved or reflected in any of my works, I reaffirm my purpose in the path I have decided to follow.
Where would I most like to live?
There are some places that comes into my mind. I would love to live in Montmartre, Costwolds or Edinburgh.
What is my most treasured possession?
My ability to reason. Also I have a blanket, a toy and an outfit from my sweet little dog who passed away this past January.
What is my most marked characteristic?
It depends on which rol of my life. My son says I am permissive, my colleagues that I give more than I can, my husband says that I am committed to the excellence. I would like to know that is my kindness.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
My mothers house. There are also in my city, places that preserve the architectural heritage of the old days and I find it really inspiring.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?
I don’t like one in particular, however I can say that I like the bohemian atmosphere, the Mexican food and delicious desserts. If we add all that plus good company, it would certainly be my favorite place.
What books influenced my life and how?
When I was a child, my father gave me a large aquamarine book called Anthology of the best love poems in spanish by Luis María Anson. Not only did it awaken my taste for poetry, but in the first pages my dad dedicated an acrostic to me. It ended saying: for my adored daughter at the end of the millennium. He died two years later.
What music would I listen on my last day?
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
Charlot, the character of Charlie Chaplin. The vagabond capable of getting out of the most unlikely situations with skill and imagination. The vagabond who did not want to take up arms, but rather throw them on his shoulder, as one throws his days. The vagabond who knows that, seen closely, life is a tragedy, but seen from afar, it is still a comedy. The homeless man who, by cooking a shoe sole, was able to transform suffering into a smile. The homeless man who gave the shelter of his friendship to a boy who lived outdoors.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
A person with greatness of soul, generosity, that inspires high thoughts. A person I can admire and produces beautiful feelings. I can say that my heroe or heroine would be anyone with these characteristics: Courage, conviction, helpful, disinterest, honesty, strength and persistence.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?
That is a really hard to answer question. Dead poets society by Tom Schulman, Awakenings by Penny Marshall and Based on the autobiography of neurologist Oliver Sacks and Up, the computer-animated film produced by Pixar Animation.
What role play stories in my life and work?
I always try to tell stories through painting. My story and the story of others. Stories bring great power to my visual work. It provides meaning and emotion. Art and especially painting has served as a reflection of stories through the ages. This being an indelible mark of the history of humanity.
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me?
It means that no matter what, I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul, as William Ernest Henley says in his poem Invictus.

Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2023?
As an independent artist and taking into account the nature of my profession, it is not on my short term goals to work with a company. However, I can say I do admire some woman artists in my country. Like Sofía Ruiz or Carolina Guillermet.
What project, in 2023, am I looking forward to work on?
I have in mind an artistic project. An innovative pictorial collection in which I am planning to start working in January.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me?
Passion is energy and as long as we are alive, we need that energy. Passion it is related with dreams, and we should never stop dreaming or follow those dreams. Passion also relates with progress and continuity leading you on the road to success.
