What is the best thing that I love about my work?
What I love the most about my work as an actress is living so many différent lives at the same time and sharing so many emotions with my acting partners and the public . I also really like script and character analysis An actor’s role is to entertain. But we also tell stories to deliver a message , to inform, and sometimes make people aware of an important issue. A student of mine once told me that watching films and travelling helped make her the woman she is now …. We’ ve got a big responsability if we want to do it well. ….

What is my idea of happiness?
Happiness is not the same for everyone . For me it’s being surrounded by my loved ones. It’s waking up every morning next to my husband and to have hugs from my son and to see his smile .

What is my greatest fear?
Apart from a ridiculous fear of spiders…it would be losing a loved one.

What is the trait that I most deplore about myself?
I have a problem with self confidence . I would love to feel completely at ease all the time like a friend of mine – a previous student at L’Entree des Artistes- Camille Aguilar. She is comfortable everywhere she goes and with everybody she’s with .

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?
Definitety Meryl Streep who is for me the best actress ever ! She can play everything ! It’s incredible how she lives her characters every moment in all her scenes and with so many differents colours… You can read so many complex emotions in her eyes. She is my reference !

What is my greatest extravagance?
I’m not really extravagant but I never check my bank account when buying a present for someone I love. Even if my accounts are in the red I won’t stop myself from buying something for my son or my husband that they need and would really love!

On what occasion would I lie?
If the truth would be painful to someone I could lie to avoid the pain.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
It’s the misunderstanding that some casting people and directors have about the actor’s job…. Instead of looking for an actor who understands the situation and has the talent and sensitivity to incarnate the character, they often focus on physical qualities: A tall blond actress, or a dark -haired male actor with a « bad guy » attitude ! A character wearing glasses to portray an intellectual is a cliché ! Our job is to give life to characters who are différents from us ! The lack of imagination can be upsetting . Of course you probaby won’t play Hulk if you are really small and thin , But a good actor can play almost anything ! You don’t need to be a waitress to portray one truthfully or be handicaped to play a character with a disability

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
I’ve had many happy experiences having had the chance to do work that impassioned me. But the day I had the chance to perform in a beautiful theatre in Paris with Jean Paul Belmondo in the audience was really my happiest moment ever.

If I could, what would I change about myself?
As I already mentioned , I would love to get rid of my fear about being judged and always feel at ease and confident about who I am.. but i’m working on it 🙂

What is my greatest achievement in work?
I don t feel like I’ve already achieved anything important…. I learn everyday and try to advance all the time both as an actress and acting coach . I think that we learn throughout our lives. … If you ask me the same question in 20 years , maybe i l’ll have another answer! lol

Where would I most like to live?
Even if the lovely village where I now live is an amazing place next to a beautiful forest, I do miss the sea and the warm weather in the South of France . So one day I would love to share time between my present home and somewhere near the sea and maybe close to Italy.

What is my most treasured possession?
My son !

What is my most marked characteristic?
My sensitivity i guess.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
My village is small so our inspirational place is really the nearby Fontainbleau forest ! When my husband and I have too much work and are really stressed out we know exactly what we need to do to calm down: We take a walk in the forest ! The beautiful landscape, the pleasant smell and the silence along with the physical activity is inspiring and transforms us !

What is my favorite place to eat and drink in my city?
We love an Italian restaurant « Antica Tratoria » in nearby Fontainebleau and we are also fond of a great sushi restaurant « Milly Sushi » in Milly la Foret .

What books influenced my life and how?
To be honest no book really influenced me as much as many films have . First on the list is « Mariée mais pas trop » (directed by Catherine Corsini with Pierre Richard, Jane Birking and Emilie Duquesne ) . It was my first experience on a set and just as an extra.Observing the work of the leading actors for a week confirmed my desire to be an actress. That film and those 7 days completely changed my life!

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen to on my last day?
I love music soooo much ! And so many artists and different styles! I would say that for sure I would listen to Celine Dion « pour que tu m’aimes encore » and all the album d’Eux, « Happy » Pharel Williams («my wedding song), « Nothing else Matters » Metalica, « killing me sotfly » « fugees » « Beautiful » Ed Sheeran, Eminem, Dido, Sade, Lady Gaga, Gossip, Evanescence, Adele, and much more ! and songs that my little boy learned at school….

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
There are many but in general it ‘s characters who are fighting for their rights, their life or for their familly with great courage. Movies that come to mind are « 15 years a slave » …« the green line » …, « My best enemies, »… « Still Alice », to give a few examples.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
My heroes in real life are :

My mom who raised me alone with my grand parents .
My husband Olivier who lost his first wife young and raised his 2 oldest kids alone.
Jean Paul Belmondo , my husband ‘s uncle , who in spite of his stroke, his fatigue and pain, I never once heard complain during the 15 years that I knew him. He absolutely always had a smile and was always so kind to everyone even when we knew he was tired and suffering. I had so much respect for him. Yes ! He was a real hero to me and a model.

Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime?
The Bridge of Madison County ! Meryl streep and Clint Eastwood were so exeptionnal !!! I don t know how many times I saw that film and I will again !

What role play stories in my life and work?
I have to believe in them as an actress ! Other people’s stories inspire me every day. I can use them in my work . In my own lifetime I wont be able to live all situations . So i need to find inspiration. I need empathy. I listen a lot to people. I observe them in the subway and on the street, I chose to be an actress to live different lives and to tell differents stories . Stories help us to dream which is not really easy … We mustn’t listen when people say «  its not possible… » « you can t make it … »… « it’s too difficult , » etc ….

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
It’s definitely my husband !

Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2023/2024 ? 
I would love to work with… Bénédicte Delmas who was an actress and is now a director whose work I love… With multitalented Baya Rehaz who was my husband’s student… With Agnes Jaoui who I’ve met and whose work I love. I think we share a similar vision of things. I would love to work with Eric Toledano et Olivier Nakache – a great directing team. I’ve seen almost all their films ! I would also really like to work on stage! My special dream is to work on an American film with Meryl Streep. I admire the work of so many American directors , actors and actresses. .

What project, in 2023/2024, am I looking forward to work on?
I’m in touch with Steven Spielberg for his next film, just waiting to sign the contract …. Îve got a new agent so I’m waiting to see what the future has in store for me  I would also like to write and to direct a film myself. That’s one of my projects.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me?
Real passion never dies. , it’s a part of you! …. My husband and I can’t prevent ourselves from talking about acting and cinema all the time lol. It’s impossible to imagine that changing!
