What is the best thing that I love about my work? The best thing that I love about my work as a musician and flute teacher is the opportunity to inspire and motivate others through my own experiences. Having faced numerous challenges on my journey, I’ve developed a strong sense of resilience and perseverance that I strive to pass on to my students. I believe that my story can serve as a source of inspiration for others, showing them that they too can overcome obstacles and achieve their goals with hard work and determination. As a teacher, I take pride in encouraging my students to develop their own resilience by teaching them to overcome challenges and find joy in the process of learning and growing as musicians. I also enjoy sharing the transformative power of music as a form of personal expression and a means of connecting with others from diverse backgrounds and cultures. By promoting compassion and empathy through music, I hope to make a positive impact on the world and inspire others to do the same.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? What I dislike the most in my work is the lack of transparency and fairness in the musician selection process, especially in most orchestra auditions. That injustice leaves out great musicians with extraordinary artistic and technical skills, which ultimately becomes detrimental to the musical landscape itself.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? I’ve had many proud moments in my career where I’ve been a pioneer for others, but I remember being the happiest when I premiered a flute concerto by Bjorn Hallman at the Casa da Música in Portugal. Stories also play an important role in art, literature, cinema, and other forms of media, offering a way to entertain, inspire, and challenge us.
