What is the best thing that I love about my work?

As a jewelry designer (but I had also some experiences as writer, fashion and set designer) I am constantly in contact with reality and fantasy and I have the possibility to know two life’s faces. In this way I’m always a “work in progress”, It’s great!

What is my idea of perfect happiness?

What a difficult question! I do not have an idea of perfect happiness but I know how an imperfect woman, like me, could be happy living her present through emotional freedom.

What is my greatest fear?

“Someone” said: “If there is a solution to a problem, there is no need to worry and if there is no solution, there is no need to worry”. If you think this way it is very difficult to have a great fear.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

Sometimes I make a lot of things all together. This is not always good.

What is my greatest extravagance?

I write metaphysical thoughts. I read them to my husband when he is sleeping, I think he is discovering this thing just now! (I’m smiling).

On what occasion would I lie?

When someone I love could be hurt. I’m a protective person.

What is the influence of role models, in my work and in my life?

I have not role models like some masters could be: I think that everyone could be a master in his, her, little world. It’s clear that I choose honesty in all aspects of my life including my marriage, my work, and my relationships.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

Sometimes it’s the effort I have to do for my jewels’ distribution. I don’t like the bureaucracy to do it (I prefer the creative part of my work) but there are also some nice meetings fortunately.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

When I launched my first jewelry collection. I was happy in a special way.

If I could, what would I change about myself?

I am often in a hurry so I say: why am I in a hurry?! I’m working on it.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

It’s a kind of freedom that gives me the possibility to be the storyteller of my own life.This is an important role; I fall in love with my work : “I feel good […] I feel nice, like sugar and spice” just like James Brown sings.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

I live in the center of Sicily, Caltanissetta; I’m not a religious woman but sometimes I like to walk in the empty Cathedral, late in the afternoon. I like to hear my own footsteps in this spiritual place’s silence, It’s like to be in a different dimension.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?

Oh, but it’s my home sweet home!

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

He is my husband. Of course!

Whom would I like to work with in the future?

There is not someone in my mind now. Surprise could be a new key in the future; why not?

What project, in the nearby future, am I looking forward to work on?

It’s a new jewelry collection. I’d like also to teach, it could be a new experience for me…
