What do you love most about your job? I am designer and artisan of entirely handmade, contemporary jewelry, furnishings and decorative lighting with alternative and recycled materials destined for other uses (kitchenware, plastic bottles, industrial scrap metal, resins, fabrics….). I would define my work an extraordinary introspective journey that, with the help of imagination and passion leads me to discover more “worlds” new: an adventure dreamed, desired, obtained and tackled with determination and entrepreneurial spirit.I love my job because it allows me to explore the world of Fashion, Art and Design and learn about artists and extraordinary people.
What is my idea of perfect happiness? Freedom. Be free to express yourself through what you are free to choose.
What is my greatest fear? Constriction. Have no way out, do not have freedom.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Shyness: form of constraint that, at times, does not allow you to express yourself as you would like. My job allows me to move with no patterns, no screens, no brakes and allows me to overcome this limitation constantly putting myself to the test in human relations.
What is my greatest extravagance? My Creativity.
On what occasion would I lie? For me it is always important to be honest with myself to apply the same honesty in work and in relationships. I lie to myself repeating myself not to be afraid if I were to get out of a dangerous situation to protect those I love.
What is the influence of role models, in my work and in my life? I follow the connections that Art creates.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? That the first result, after much experimental work, belongs to you: you are a spectator of yourself, of your ideas and the first, the only, true, unquestionable and merciless critic of what, from an idea, it becomes real and tangible. When you have the go ahead from yourself you can finally transmit the results to others and if you have the approval of others understand that your self-criticism it works and you can rely to it for the future. Trust your intuition in their work is fundamental and for me it’s pure adrenaline!
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? Last year, on the plane, on the return journey from Rome, after the presentation of an important project. I tried, in every sense, the feeling of Flying!
If I could, what would I change about myself? Cancel my shyness, introversion would keep.
What is my greatest achievement in work? Firmly believe in myself, the uniqueness of my product and deal with obstinacy a path and bring a project to the end.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? My garden. I love the contact with nature in which sounds cast me into another dimension: the one that allows me to “see” my ideas.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My family and my friends, witnesses of my creative journey. They believe in me, in my ability and inspire me to keep going without stopping: Between us there is a continuous exchange in which I materialize the energy they send me.
Whom would I like to work with in the future? I believe in partnerships. I would like to work with all those people who push you to go further because in addition You see!
What project, in the nearby future, am I looking forward to work on? Contemporary jewelry is my latest project. I want to push ahead with my new collection recently presented and make it international.
