What is the best thing that I love about my work?

“Invasioni Digitali” (Digital Invasions) is a bottom up grass root movement with the aim of co-creating culture by sharing each individual’s personal storytelling of our artistic heritage. That’s why everything is always diverse, every day. I’m able to shape my future little by little, choosing where to go, meeting wonderful people who inspire me, arousing my curiosity toward the world challenges. I wake up every morning thinking how the world could be better.

What is my idea of perfect happiness?

Riding my motorbike with no destination. Conquering a mountaintop after a hard climb with my road bike!

What is my greatest fear?

To lose my curiosity

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

Impatient. I tend to be.

What is my greatest extravagance? I’m a curly girl and in Italy we say “Ogni riccio un capriccio” (one whim for each curl) soooooo many!

On what occasion would I lie?

It happened. Not to hurt somebody but probably it’s too politically correct to say that. Say “white lies”?

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

Days are totally chaotic or totally relaxed, no half measures

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

When people I work with are proud as much as I am of what we are doing, when they are gratified to say out loud that we are working on some fantastic projects together.

If I could, what would I change about myself?

Tidiness. I think I’m really too messy

What is my greatest achievement in work?

Being always able to be adaptable to change. I never thought of giving up, despite periods of great difficulties. Being able to use my skills to travel the journey of “Invasioni Digitali” (Digital Invasions). Well, my talk at a TEDx is high on the list!

Where would I most like to live? In welcoming places with welcoming people.

What is my most marked characteristic? I’m curious, curiosity has shaped my life. I laugh, a lot, and I smile, a lot. I love every wrinkle that laughing has drawn on my face

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? I am a huge foodie and I will try out anything, in every city I go.

Who are my favorite writers? Italo Calvino, Cesare Pavese, Alda Merini, Albert Camus, Goliarda Sapienza…

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? Jazz! Chet Baker, doubtless, I’m an avid listener.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

Well, not really in fiction but I would say Ulysses. His journey led by curiosity.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? Rita Levi Montalcini. She has always claimed to be a free woman. Grew up in “a Victorian world dominated by the male figure and women had little chances”. She said she has “suffered because I knew that our mental abilities – men and women – are the same: we have equal possibilities and different approach”

Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime? Citizen Kane by Orson Welles

What role plays art in my life and work? Huge. My research over the last few years has focused on the opportunities offered by the web to travel, art and culture industries. In this context, I’m the co-founder of “Invasioni Digitali” (Digital Invasions), an online crowdsourcing initiative started in Italy in 2013 with the aim to promote the value of and engagement with local heritage.The goal is to spread the culture, the local beauty and history, using the power of internet and social media.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My family, they always motivate me and Fabrizio Todisco, my colleague, who has been a very close friend for years and who I started Invasioni Digitali with. A special mentions to all the wonderful Ambassadors of “Invasioni Digitali” who are working with me enthusiastically.

Whom would I like to work with in 2017? I wish to work with people who love to cooperate, who think that cooperation is the key to enrich our works, worlds and souls.

Which people in my profession would I love to meet in 2017? Positive and inspiring people. I’m in touch with some great museums’ professionals and I’m trying to develop new projects with them. Finger crossed!

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? As long as I’ll have the desire to discover, to understand, to learn I will go ahead
