The Heroine’s Journey of Alessandra Spada

What is the best thing that I love about my work? Shaping the form in a wide sense. Paper like fabric, communication like marketing: everything has its shape, its standard. What I love about my work is to be able to decide everyday the shape I want to give to every SCULPTOUR element. It’s about independence, freedom to experiment and responsibility.

I worked for 16 years in communication and marketing, but after becoming a mother, the world of work has suddenly changed the way it has always seen and treated me. SCULPTOUR is not just a dream I try every day to transform into reality, but also a declaration of independence, the will to start from oneself and the courage of doing it.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? Passaguai and Il Sorpasso: 2 places of a dear friend of mine; second and third home for me.

What books influenced my life and how? A book I never believed could do so: “I figli non crescono più” of Paolo Crepet. “Perhaps you have already understood it: it is not easy to grow, even less become adults. […] Raise your forehead. Do not be fooled by those who want to buy your consent with money or adulation, do not suffice what they are willing to give you. Time will tell you that ideas are so much more precious as they are different. […] Scrape the barrel of your abilities, find out every passage of your soul but never give it all, always reserve a crumb for your next passion. […] Do not listen to those who point you to the shortcuts, try to dare difficult roads, avoid all that is convenient and distrust of whoever proposes you. […] Love your freedom and defend it from everything and everyone; loves your autonomy, repair it from the song of mermaids: dependencies will not make you grow, they only help to lose the sense of travel. […] “.
