The Heroine’s Journey of Celeste de Moriae

What is the best thing that I love about my work? I love my work, because I can feel free to do what I want and in the costume I want. At 99% I’ve always wonderful people around me. This makes me happy.
What is my idea of perfect happiness? No more bullying, hate or negativity. To enjoy performing together with other Burlesque and art lovers. And have great contacts for my productions / shows / festivals I produce. Also, I try to create with my festival a great together and pick just the lovely people to come together.
What is my greatest fear? I try every day to go on and don’t be afraid of mistakes and bad days and see the things in a positive way. Everything will be good. One of the things I can tell is the fear of heights.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? To be honest, I’m a bit a mix of Sheldon Cooper and Monk. Not so extremely, but in some situations I find me doing strange things and I try to make everything 200% perfect. I work on it. 🙂
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? Oh I admire a few persons. Per example, people who make beautiful and perfect costumes or have the discipline to do sport and work on their flexibility. One of my dear friends, who is always positive in every kind of situation.
What is my greatest extravagance? I really love to shop everything. When I plan a new costume or headdress, I don’t wait to see what I need, I just buy everything that fits to my idea. My flat is full of lovely sparkly stuff, but also Shoes, dresses and so on….
On what occasion would I lie? Lying is a big problem for me. I’m mostly roughly honest. Sometimes not a good idea.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? I don’t like carrying my heavy luggage and unpack it at home after the shows and travels. But this will not stop me.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? To be honest, I had lot of happy days at my work. One of my happiest days was, after I produced my first big Burlesque and Cabaret Festival in Croatia and everybody talked so positive about it and I’ve cried after I have seen the sites in the newspaper writing just wonderful about us and about my work.
If I could, what would I change about myself? I like myself. There are some things I have to work on them, but all this is me. Maybe just a bit more discipline with food. I love food in every kind of way.
What is my greatest achievement in work? I can’t answer this, because, I’m still working on it.
Where would I most like to live? Here where I am. I live in Germany now. But I love to travel and meet friends everywhere in the world. I had also thought about to Scotland or Croatia.
What is my most treasured possession? To have an organization talent and quickly find solutions for various situations. Not material things.
What is my most marked characteristic? I like to help, I’m funny and can bring people back to smile in bad situations, but I’m also very directly honest. And I’m happy for other peoples luck.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? It’s my car while I’m driving on free streets without a lot of traffic. Here I get all the great ideas and put my acts together or plan other stuff I need to do.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? I love cooking, so my home with my kitchen is my favourite place. But If I go out to have dinner or lunch, there are a few lovely places I love to go to eat. The most are Asian restaurants. For drinks, I can recommend The Second Row in Göppingen.
What books influenced my life and how? The last time, unfortunately, I haven’t read so much. But I love books and I have a lot of them. There is nothing what change my life, but there is a book describing my old life “Shopaholic”. 🙂
Who are my favorite writers? Nora Roberts, Sophie Kinsella, Paulo Coelho, some more
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? Music is my life, different situations, different music. Can not say what songs I would love to hear then. Maybe nothing, just talk to my dearest around me.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Should I have just one?
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? A lady who is ill, but goes on every day. She is always lovely and no matter how bad her situation is, she has always a smile for other people.
Which movie would I recommend seeing once in a lifetime? There are a few movies bring me to cry, to think about my life and I can watch them a few times. I don’t like choosing just one.
What role plays art in my life and work? One of the biggest parts in my life is art. My work is art, the acts I create, the costumes, accessories and the stories I create all this. and all of this is art.  I’m very happy to freely express my creativity and the art in my way of life.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? I think one of my greatest fans and lover of my work is my dear Mother. She shares and talk so much about me and my work. I wish she can be more with me and see my work in reality. And there is also one guy, who I enjoy to be with. He is helping me a lot and sponsors also a part of my work. I’m very thankful for this help.
Whom would I like to work with in 2018? I would love to work with the big and beautiful theatre venues, fill them with guests and celebrate my festival with all the lovely performers there.
Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2018? It will be wonderful to be able to travel and meet a few of the Burlesque Legends and talk to them about them and my life in the burlesque world.
What project, in 2018, am I looking forward to work on? One more smaller festival in another country and a new show. A new act.
Where can you see me or my work in 2018? Definitely one of my bigger things will be the Croatian Burlesque and Cabaret Festival in Rijeka and Zagreb.
What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? It means a lot, because I live my dreams and do what I love. It’s sometimes hard to live this life, but I’m not frightened to work hard for my passion and that what I love.
