What is the best thing that I love about my work?
I love the versatility that it gives me because no two days are the same. I also enjoy the creative freedom it allows me to have. As a natural born performer, I have always been using my voice and storytelling skills to help express my emotions and having other people relate to my work is an incredible feeling.
What is my idea of happiness?
Having great friends, great food, warm weather, listening to music, attending dog friendly events and going on a spa day.
What is my greatest fear?
Losing loved ones.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
Impatience. I am a very organised person and like to stay on top of things. However, I sometimes get frustrated when others don’t have the same attention to detail. I recognise that not everyone operates the same way so I’m working on being more patient by reminding myself that different perspectives and working styles can still lead to great outcomes.
Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?
Hayley Williams, Alanis Morrisette, Tara Strong and Ashley Johnson.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
As a voice actor and singer, my passion lies in the performance. But since the pandemic, there’s now a growing expectation that we also become our own sound engineers: setting up our home studio, troubleshooting technical issues and mastering recording software. While I understand the need for flexibility, it can be frustrating because it pulls focus away from the creative side of the work. It places pressure on artists to excel in highly technical areas that were once handled by professionals. It’s a reminder of how much the industry has changed and how important it is to advocate for balance and support, when sound engineers are able to be brought onto projects so the talent like myself can focus solely on what we do best.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
Being on stage and having the audience sing your own lyrics back at you is one of the best feelings in the world. I once had a young girl do a cover of one of my songs too and that was amazing!
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I wished I had been braver when I was younger.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
I worked on an indie game trailer where I was able to showcase both of my talents – singing and voice acting. I usually do one or the other so being able to provide both for one project is my greatest achievement to date.
Where would I most like to live?
Somewhere warm that has a beach or swimming pool nearby.
What is my most treasured possession?
I have a pillow which was created using one of my grandad’s old jumpers.
What is my most marked characteristic?
I’ve been told that I’m pro-active, passionate and friendly.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
I like to take a walk around my local park as it’s scenic and a great way to clear my mind or find inspiration, if i’m having writer’s block or need to take a break for voicing in my home studio.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink in my city?
This is a tough question as I am a huge foodie! You can’t go wrong with a good burger from Bad Boys or The Smoke Bloke! Drink wise, I do enjoy a pina colada from Ego Mediterranean.
What books influenced my life and how?
As a child, I loved reading the following series: Harry Potter, Roald Dahl and Goosebumps. They all sparked my imagination and shaped my love for storytelling. Each one pulled me into completely different worlds. Magical, funny and spooky. They filled my head with unique voices, moods and emotions. Harry Potter taught me about building layered characters and emotional depth. Roald Dahl’s writing introduced me to quirky, exaggerated personalities and playful language which are perfect for voice work. And Goosebumps helped me understand suspense, pacing and how to use my voice to create tension or mystery. I like to read out loud so I guess these were my first voiceover training sessions, without me realising it until now!
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen to on my last day?
Lizzie McAlpine’s music is incredibly heartfelt and her songwriting skills are so captivating. She is one of the more modern musicians that I could listen to on repeat.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
My sister. She is younger than me but she has often acted like my big sister when there have been moments of self doubt and uncertainty.
Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime?
Shutter Island. I am really into thrillers and horrors and this is one of the best in my opinion!
What role play stories in my life and work?
Stories play a central role in both my life and my work. I am constantly telling stories, whether that’s through the character I’m voicing, the emotion in a song or the tone I use to bring a script to life. Stories are what connect us as humans. They help us understand each other, feel empathy and see the world through someone else’s eyes. In my personal life, stories help me make sense of my experiences. They remind me where I’ve come from and help me focus on what I need to do next.
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me?
Life brings things we can’t always control but I can get to choose what chapters I dwell on, what lessons I carry and what future I imagine. It’s a reminder that I’m not just living life… I’m actively creating it. My choices, my voice and my perspective matter. Even when things go off course, I can reframe the story, grow from it and keep writing the next page with intention and hope.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
My grandad was my biggest supporter growing up. He played harmonica around the house and always encouraged me to pursue a life as a performer. He originally thought I was going to be a musical theatre actor when he saw me at school plays but I went down the popular music route and fell back into acting (voice) during the pandemic. He is sadly no longer with us but my husband, family and close group of friends continue to provide encouragement and support in his absence.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me?
To me, it means the deep love or commitment we have towards something meaningful doesn’t fade with age, titles or career changes. It lives within us, not tied to a job or a stage in life. Whether I’m working, volunteering, learning or simply sharing experiences with others, my passion continues to strive and grow stronger every day. Whether it’s helping others, creating something beautiful or striving for growth, I remain consistent. Passion isn’t something we clock out of. It’s part of who we are and it keeps us alive, curious and purposeful.
