What is the best thing that I love about my work?

The thing that I love most about my work is that it’s never the same, every day I explore new ways of teaching and working with our body. As a dancer I do the movement research in order to develope awareness of the body and get away from the movement patterns.

What is my idea of perfect happiness?

I guess the best way to be happy is to accept the way life is…it changes all the time, everything changes, so it’s better not to stuck on something or some one and just let the things be. Go with the flow and enjoy the moment.

What is my greatest fear?

My greatest fear is to loose the sens of life and my „inner child“.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

Well sometimes I stuck for too long in thinking…and thinking…overthinking. I think too much!

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?

There are many of them. I get fascinated and inspired by the people who go for their dreams no matter what. Who are the warriors in some way never giving up. For example Ohad Naharin, Diana Vishneva…

What is my greatest extravagance?

I’m not social, I don’t like to post photos on instagrame, facebook, twitter and so on. I don’t care much about how many followers I have…I guess I can call it extravagance nowadays

On what occasion would I lie?

I think to protect the people I love, to tell the truth I don’t know exactly.

What is the thing that I dislike most in my work?

It has big influence on me, even when I’m tired and I’m trying to have rest I can’t stop thinking about the new choreographies, or new exercises and so on…

When and where was I the happiest in my work?

I remember when I was a child and we made a performance in the theatre, after that one old lady came to me and said: „Thank you!“. She was crying, because the dance piece we did touched her a lot. That was the moment I understood what is dance about! It’s about to make people emotional and it made me feel very happy.

If I could what would I change about myself?

Well I guess my character…it’s not easy, sometimes even for me

What is my greatest achivement in work?

Actually I get satisfied with the little things like seeing my students more curious and passionated about dance, about the history of dance, culture and art in general.

Where would I most like to live?

Where I’m living now Italy.

What is my most treasured possession?

My family.

What is my most marched characteristic?

I’m stubborn! Maybe not the best quality ever, but it helped me a lot in life.

What is my most inspirational location in my city?

My house, I love it and the best ideas come to me when I’m at home.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink in my city?

A little restaurant called Villa alle Grazie, it’s a marvelous place!

What books influenced my life and how?

I can nominate tree books that I liked most: M. Bulgakov „The Master and Margarita“, D. Brown „Angels and Demons“ and Y. Oida and L. Marchall „The invisible actor“ these books teached me to search for my own answers on the life questions and that there is no black and white, good and bad in our life. There are many colours and the good and bad stuff is very relative.

Who are my favourite writers?

To tell the truth now I have no time to read books and it’s very sad, but I have some books at home which are waiting to be read. Lately I’m interested in japanese writers.

You only die once. What music would I listen on my last day?

Igor Stravinsky „The rite of spring“.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

Scarlett O’Hara. When the first time I read the book „Gone with the wind“ and then after saw a movie I got fascinated by that character… it’s all about not giving up no matter what happens.

Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime?

„Peaceful Warrior“ the movie that helped me a lot in hard times. I think I saw it tree or four times for sure!

What role plays art in my life and work?

Art plays the principal role…for me the art is everything and everywhere.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

My husband and my son.

Whom would I like to work with in 2018?

With interesting people, curious children…everyone who is interested in what I’m doing actually.

Which people in my profession would I love to meet in 2018?

The openminded people who are interesed to spread the contemporary dance culture here in Italy. People who believe in dance and art. I’m really looking forward to meet the choreographers and dancers to collaborate with.

What project in 2018 am I looking forward to work on?

For sure my dance school, I’d love to make some new theory courses there, for example dance history, dance analysis, dance composition in order to complete dance education.
