What is the best thing that I love about my work?

The freedom to create without rules.

What is my idea of perfect happiness?

Happiness is a question of moments; the perfect happiness is just a wonderful momentary illusion.

What is my greatest fear?

I have a phobia for insects. What shall I do?

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

I tend to be perfectionist.

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?

My favorite artists are William Kentridge, Bill Viola, Banksy, Blu and Marina Abramovic. Few month ago I had the opportunity to work at the prestigious “The Center for the Less Good Idea, founded by William Kentridge in Johannesburg.

What is my greatest extravagance?

My unbridled imagination that influences my life. I am able to dream with open eyes.

On what occasion would I lie?

Definitely not now!

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

That never stops, day or night, my head is always running.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

My last series of personal exhibitions in galleries and museums (New York, Rome, Amsterdam, Miami, Bangkok, Singapore and several more) were an incredibly excited experience for me. Cannot choose just one!
If I could, what would I change about myself?

I’d like to think less and sleep more.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

Since 2009, my work has changed over time. I have left painting and started working only with pens, on paper and canvas, creating large works or connected canvas. I have enriched my works with video animations, installations and performances. I would say that since 2009 my work represents what I have been looking to do since I began paiting.

Where would I most like to live?

Where I live now.

What is my most treasured possession?

My son.

What is my most marked characteristic?

A strong personality?

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

Everywhere. Everything I see or hear around me is a source of inspiration.

What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?

My home of course. I cook pretty well!

What books influenced my life and how? .
The Metamorphosis’ by Kafka was one of those who left the mark in my mind.
Who are my favorite writers?

Franz Kafka, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Herman Hesse, Italo Calvino, Fedor Dostoevskij.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?

I hope to be immortal, but in case I’m not I would go fo ‘Clair de luneby Claude Debussy.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

Kezia, a character created by writer Katherine Mansfield. My father wanted to call me like her after reading that book.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?

All the people that do everything possible to make life better for other people.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?

“Le scaphandre et le papillon” by Julian Schnabel and “2001: A Space Odyssey by Stanley Kubrick.

What role plays art in my life and work?

Art is part of myself, a life partner and my obsession.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

The first of all is surely my partner, Italian musician Luca Ciarla. Together we created a performance called “Music for Your Eyesthat has been presented in many many countries, from Usa to Australia. As I mentioned before, we also did it in Johannesburg at William Kentridges “Centre For The Less Good Idea.

Michael Gondry, a visionary film director.

Banksy, Adrien Mondot, Larry Gagosian, Philippe Daverio.

What project, in 2018, am I looking forward to work on?

My next solo show in Washington DC (USA) at the end of August. It will be the second event of my third cycle of exhibitions called Introspective.
