What is the best thing that I love about my work? I love the freedom of expression, to be able to share visions and worlds with only the support of pen and paper.
What is my idea of perfect happiness? To be able to continue to produce art for the rest of my life.
What is my greatest fear? It would (obviously) be not to be able to draw or use my creativity anymore due to heath issues or other impossibilities. In any case, I would hate to be forced to stop doing what I love.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Insecurities which now and then limit my actions; I’m still working on that.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? There are so many that this interview would not be enough to mention them. There are so many artists I admire and inspire from.
What is my greatest extravagance? Actually, I don’t know! Maybe spending too much on art supplies! I have more pens than clothes!
On what occasion would I lie? On all those occasions where a lie is better than the truth. White lies.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? Actually, many. It’s frustrating to have to deal with so many factors from those who are unprofessional in organizing exhibitions to those who don’t understand and recognize the value of an art work or moreover clients demanding work for the next day. Let’s put it this way, good accounts make for good friends, isn’t that right?
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? That “moment” hasn’t quite just arrived; The best is yet to come.
What is my greatest achievement in work? I would have to say that when I finish a piece and am able to deliver to my client a sense of identity and make them feel like its theirs or them, that is a great achievement.
Where would I most like to live? In a house with a studio overlooking the sea, flushed in sunlight.
What is my most treasured possession? My sarcasm but also my strong character.
What is my most marked characteristic? The ability to see the beauty in things. And my hair!
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? The old historic city centre of the Castel from where you can look out over the ramparts onto the sea.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? Anywhere with my friends, I live in Italy. Do I need to add more?
What books influenced my life and how? Milan Kundera’s The Unbearable Lightness of Being. I love the character of the Sabina, because she is in fact an artist.
Who are my favorite writers? During my teenage years I used to read a lot. Many writers have had a great impact on my life during the years; but I will always remember reading Bukowski at 17 made a great impact.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? Right now I would say any song by Nick Cave would do!
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? In 1996 I would have said Fox Mulder and Dana Scully!
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? All those women who achieve their goals and those who keep on going, no matter what.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? Taxi Driver
What role plays art in my life and work? It’s the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do since I was a child, It’s always been everything to me and still is.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? Anyone who supports me, percieves and understands my vision, encouraging me in what I do.
Whom would I like to work with in 2018? I would love to work with artists whom I admire.
Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2018? I’d like to meet someone who believes in my work, enough to want to seriously promote it.
What project, in 2018, am I looking forward to work on? I have an illustration project on poems in my drawer.
