What is the best thing that I love about my work?

I love to illustrate scenes from an absurd world with a childish trait and I have a desire to experiment illustration with a variety of animal characters with comic situations and a playful use of color.

What is my idea of perfect happiness?

The perfect happiness happens when you create something with your heart and soul. For me, the perfect happinesss is being in harmony with oneself.

What is my greatest fear?

First of all, to not be able to create anymore.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

I have a talent to underestimate myself that sometimes I’m totally focus on my weaknesses; I become totally paralyzed and feel lonely. It is hard to go out of this bad moment.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?

I admire many artists that are creative and fun, using colors and jokes in their work. Jon Burgerman, Ghostshrimp, Lisa Hanawalt, Anouk Ricard…

What is my greatest extravagance?

I have a true love for colorful sneakers and clothes.

On what occasion would I lie?

I could lie to hide if I would feel bad or to not be at ease in one situation. I don’t like to say that I feel bad or if I am disappointed.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

Sometimes, I need more money ! Haha

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

For now, the happiest thing in my work happened when I was selected for the 9 VISIONS project of “Parcours Street art” in Brussels, I had to do a mural in a famous street with 8 others artists.

If I could, what would I change about myself?

I would change my shyness and my lack of confidence because sometimes it makes me feel bad and missing out beautiful opportunities.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

My greatest achievement at work was to create a big mural in a nursery; about 90m2 of wall, I created a big scene with animals characters in a colorful world.

Where would I most like to live?

I like to live in Belgium. But, my dream is to buy a van, name it “Van Laecken”, do road trips with it, compose my own studio inside and travel around the world to realize murals everywhere.

What is my most treasured possession?

I think this are my tools to create and my imagination.

What is my most marked characteristic?

My alsacian accent, I think, and my everydays little bad jokes.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

So many places, I like to go out listen to House or Electro music on weekends, especially at Open airs, everytime it gives me inspiration and energy.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?

I like to eat and drink in Matonge, African area, where we can eat chicken Mafé with peanut sauce.

What books influenced my life and how?

I read many comic strips, the books which influenced me the most was Titeuf comic book (Zep).

My favorite writer is a comic writer ; Anouk Ricard is the best.
