What is the best thing that I love about my work? As a Graphic designer/Stylist I like to explore & discover out of the box creativity within the boundaries of the assignment.
What is my idea of perfect happiness? To be in good health for me, my family & my friends.
What is my greatest fear? Not able to see; to lose sight literally…
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? My emotions are quite intense & has some disadvantages when I think about sad or scary moments & insecureness. But… it also has some advantages (happiness, being in love )
Which living persons in my profession do I most admire? Roland Kahn. A very positive and ambitious man who has accomplished so much in (Fashion) Business.
What is my greatest extravagance? I don’t do extravagance in a material expensive kind of way, but I’m a fanatic collector when it comes to affordable stuff like toys, funny gadgets and silly things that make sounds, move or light up. I managed to collect quite an abundance of things and stuff nobody wanted & were left for the Trash.
On what occasion would I lie? I can’t lie, honestly. I wish I could be less honest in some situations. But it’s something that’s in my system; that I cannot avoid.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? Fashion is extremely fast & not always very sustainable, I personally don’t believe in adhoc/short trends. I think the more “never out of fashion” trends will create more value in your closet.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? Almost every day, especially when it’s sunny; having coffee in my studio/garden at home and enjoy my freedom as a freelancer.
If I could, what would I change about myself? To be more outgoing, to be more extravert, to dare more!
What is my greatest achievement in work? I am working for a big License distributor who sells Disney textile products and I feel proud to be part of their team.
Where would I most like to live? Nowhere else than here (Purmerend), I live very close to Amsterdam but still enjoy nature, the silence from the woods nearby my house.
What is my most treasured possession? My intuition, I will always follow my heart and until now I always succeeded.
What is my most marked characteristic? I think I will always think and act young & playfull, it’s a mindset that never fades.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? Walking through the woods; seeing the seasons changing, discover new plants, colours. And: the “goblin-path” (only half a kilometer from here) where there are gnomes & owls made out of carved trees.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city? My favorite place to eat is in Amsterdam/nieuwmarkt area > Yoyo! for bubble tea & Nyonya for Malaysian Food. Especially the spicy Lady fingers!
What books influenced my life and how? Different Art books: especially Fructose Art, Stencil-Art & Urban Art.
Who are my favorite writers? Stephen King, almost the only books that will keep me interested reading until the last page.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? The Carpenters, the voice of Karen Carpenter is so pure, light and harmonizing.

Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime? A Star is born with Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper: an intense and emotional movie; both actors are very convincing.

Whom would I like to work with in 2019? My current clients for who I work at this moment.
Which people in my profession would I love to meet in 2019? Although it’s always interesting to meet new people, I can’t think about somebody specific. I will always let faith go their own way, seizing the moments that will follow.

Where can you see me or my work in 2019? Still working at home; it’s the most happiest place I can think of J. Plus in my spare time, working on my “Annusual Lights of Life” > LMC-Art by (my alias) Little Miss Chucky. I upcycle old Toys, plastics and other materials & turn them into Lamps.
What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? I really think that even when I’m 90 years old I still want to create things. Maybe not on my computer anymore, but I will think of ways to stay creative in another way.

Here follows a message of Peter de Kuster, founder of the Heroine’s Journey
The Heroine’s Journey is a private tour in story rich venues of world cities with Peter de Kuster, to rewrite the story you tell yourself about yourself and your creative work and in the process transform your life and business.
What is your Story?
“Your story is your life,” says Peter. As human beings, we continually tell ourselves stories — of success or failure; of power or victimhood; stories that endure for an hour, or a day, or an entire lifetime. We have stories about ourselves, our creative business, our customers ; about what we want and what we’re capable of achieving. Yet, while our stories profoundly affect how others see us and we see ourselves, too few of us even recognize that we’re telling stories, or what they are, or that we can change them — and, in turn, transform our very destinies.
Telling ourselves stories provides structure and direction as we navigate life’s challenges and opportunities, and helps us interpret our goals and skills. Stories make sense of chaos; they organize our many divergent experiences into a coherent thread; they shape our entire reality. And far too many of our stories, says Peter, are dysfunctional, in need of serious editing. First, he asks you to answer the question, “In which areas of my life is it clear that I cannot achieve my goals with the story I’ve got?” He then shows you how to create new, reality-based stories that inspire you to action, and take you where you want to go both in your work and personal life.
Our capacity to tell stories is one of our profoundest gifts. Peter’s approach to creating deeply engaging stories will give you the tools to wield the power of storytelling and forever change your business and personal life.
