What is the best thing that I love about my work?

That it comes from the heart. Everything I put my time into means something to me and I hope I have an impact on other people. Also that my work (storytelling) has so many modes of creation: books, plays, movies, TV shows, etc.

What is my idea of happiness?

Living on my boat with my daughter and dog, and travelling the world healing people through stories.

What is my greatest fear?

Losing my health.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

My lack of tolerance and patience sometimes

What is my greatest extravagance?

Having my nails and hair done, eating out.

On what occasion would I lie?

If I was needing to help my daughter.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

The admin and paperwork aspects for they stop me from being creative.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

When I am totally and utterly consumed with creativity, surrounded by people who are working towards that same vision.

If I could, what would I change about myself?

Less wrinkles on my forehead.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

Raising $1.5 million and shooting 8 feature films in 4 years

Where would I most like to live?

Honestly I want to live everywhere. I wish to travel the world, following the sun.

What is my most treasured possession?

Everything I own, for I only own things that I love. I am a minimalist. Everything I currently have means something to me.

What is my most marked characteristic?

My blue eyes and genuine positivity

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

My boat (which I live on) in Redondo Beach

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?

Chateau Marmont or a picnic on the beach

What books influenced my life and how?

“The Artists Way” and “The Sound of Paper” by Julia Cameron for they constantly encourage and inspire me to be who I want to be. Also any books by Roald Dahl, a perfect childhood author, who was told he was never going to be a writer. He is amazing. “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse” by Charlie Mackesy. It is full of complicated concepts told in a childlike way. The illustrations are also beautiful.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

Any character who is a female badass.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?

Isabella my daughter. Also anyone who works in an industry that saves animals, saves people, and/or saves the environment.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?

Moulin Rouge or Romeo and Juliet by Baz Luhrmann

What role does art play in my life and work?

Art all day, every day. I am constantly consumed by creativity and the arts.

What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me?

That I am living in the here and now and making decisions that impact me in a positive way, decisions that mean I can die happy.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

My daughter Isabella, my mum, and my Maltese Chai.

What project, in 2020, am I looking forward to work on?

My next feature film, the second season of my podcast “Filmmaking Without Fear” and creating more projects in general that can help influence and impact people in a positive way. Following the motto of my production company Mother & Daughter Entertainment, “Making Content That Matters.”
