What is the best thing that I love about my work? As an actor, I love being able to create characters that can reach people and help them understand themselves.
As a writer, I’m constantly working on my childhood trauma and turning it into humorous situtations that people can hopefully relate to. I want to give people a chance to laugh while they’re accidentally learning something about abandonment and the pain it carries throughout life.
What is my idea of happiness? Freedom is the greatest way to happiness. Not having to answer to anyone and to be able to do what I want to do when I want to do it. Happiness comes from the mindset, we create our own happiness. If you depend on others to make you happy you’ll be disappointed every single time. Bring others into your happiness, into your orbit.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Self-destructive addictive behavior. In my case, it’s addiction to sugar which has had a grip on me for most of my life. Defeating that is an ongoing struggle. But I’m up for it.

On what occasion would I lie? Seriously, whenever I feel like it, I’m a shady bitch, LOL!
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? It’s a profession largely NOT based on merit.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? I was seriously happy playing Queen Margaret in Richard III for Staten Island Shakespeare a couple years back. Great cast and venue. I’m also happy every day that I spend time writing my show.
If I could, what would I change about myself? Rid myself of self-destructive addictions.
What is my greatest achievement in work? Haven’t had it yet.
Where would I most like to live? Anywhere out in the country, in the woods, with no neighbors anywhere around. Northeast United States or maybe Canada.
What is my most treasured possession? I have a book that my grandparents filled out for me. It’s an entire book of questions that they answered and wrote different anecdotes, etc. It’s in their handwriting and it’s my treasure. They were everything to me.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? My house
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city? My house
What books influenced my life and how? Books don’t tend to influence me. I’m completely visual so it’s TV and film that influence me. I read for fun though. But I guess the Bible would be the biggest book to influence me.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? The Monkees, hands down. No other. They helped me get throught my childhood and I consider them family. And their music is just really amazing. And I got to meet all 4 of them over the years which I never would have dreamed of as a child in the 70’s.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Captain James Tiberius Kirk. I don’t consider him fictional though. I changed my name legally to “Kirk” back in 2011 because of my devotion to him and to Star Trek. And I have a nice note from William Shatner about the name change.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? Kenneith Branagh, Tom Cruise, William Shatner, Loretta Swit, Terri Garber, Tommy Lee Jones
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? “Galaxy Quest”. The most flawless film in the history of cinema. Also, ironically, the best Star Trek movie ever made.
What role play stories in my life and work? All I do is tell stories as an actor and now as a writer. True stories and somewhat true stories.
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me? It gives me the ultimate power to decide who I am. That was part of the
reason I changed my name to Kirk, to define myself. I think we all have power to manifest what we want.
What is my greatest fear? Believing I have not done my best and taken advantage of every opportunity that God has given me.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My daughter, Eleni, is my greatest cheerleader. She supports my crazy ideas, reads my scripts, gives me notes and argues with me. And if someone ever came at me, they’d have to get through her.
Which people or companies would I like to work with? I dream of working on stage with Kenneth Branagh. That’s my greatest dream. He’s my hero, got me to love Shakespeare. He’s the greatest actor and director in the world. I’d love to do “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” with him. That would be awesome!
What project am I looking forward to work on? The TV show I’m writing is my focus right now. I plan to act in it as well. I have tunnel vision at this point.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? I started my acting career at 50 after raising 5 kids and started writing my tv show at 56. My life has been the complete opposite of many people’s lives. I chose family over career at a young age and now it’s my time. I love this journey and how it’s working out. And I have an automatic fan club with my hubby and kids.
