What is the best thing that I love about my work? The best thing I love about my work is the joy it gives me, the drive I get from it when I am truly passionate about a project.

What is my idea of happiness? I know it might sound generic but truly my idea of happiness is peace of mind, good health and being able to provide for my kids doing the work I love and enjoying that with friends as well as inspiring others with the work that I produce

What is my greatest fear? I have the biggest fear of failing myself at my own potential.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? That I am not always truthful with myself and others

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? Filmmakers who made their projects happen and their dreams come true as they wish it.

What is my greatest extravagance? My children

On what occasion would I lie? That’s a conundrum.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? When the synergy with my team is off and mostly finding the funding for most projects and retaining ownership of my work.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? I was the happiest on a trip to San Francisco, in between 2 projects, that trip solely revived my inspiration to be a female filmmaker

If I could, what would I change about myself? Just to be reborn and do it all over again with the lessons learnt.

What is my greatest achievement in work? I don’t believe I have achieved that yet as my career is just a decade long.

Where would I most like to live? California

What is my most treasured possession? They are not my possessions but my children mean the world to me.

What is my most marked characteristic? My confidence

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? I really haven’t had the time to explore my own city of Nairobi. I guess that this question implores me to do so in the future.

What is my favorite place to eat and drink in my city? The hub of the city is called Westlands but mainly a lovely restaurant in Kitisuru called Chez Sonia that is owned by a good friend, Sonia.

What books influenced my life and how?

• The Temptress by Paul Spicer – the heroine of the story
• How To Be Parisian wherever you are – I love Paris and I love fashion and the book was a gift on my first visit to France

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen to on my last day? I would listen to my fav playlist that features my fav soundtrack albums

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? The Agojie Army of Women from the film Woman King

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? My father

Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime? Any film by Tony Scott or produced by Scott Free Productions but if I had to pick one MAN ON FIRE

What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ mean to me? That I get to dictate all the choices I make and only I can control what is within my power
