The Heroine’s Journey of Francisca Braga

What is the best thing that I love about my work?
Both in visual arts and music, what I love the most is creating. And I’m happy when these creations find a response and other people identify. I’ve always liked drawing, painting and music, and within this universe I find moments of mental calming, of connecting with something that makes me feel good. And the musical saw is the instrument I fell in love with, so music is what I have the most affinity for. As for the visual arts, I have always loved pencil drawing and watercolor.

What is my idea of happiness?
Happiness for me is being satisfied with the present moment. I really like walking close to nature, it makes me feel happy.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
When things don’t go as I expected (this is common in the underground art circuit), when I need to expose myself beyond expectations. Professionally, I’m very quiet and reserved, and the pressure of having to speak on certain occasions leaves me mentally exhausted.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
When I was able to create freely, without worrying about other people’s expectations. An example are the videos and songs I worked on, as well as the artwork for prints.

I do book cover illustrations, album covers, posters, in addition to the music I make with my musical saw, which fits like a glove in horror-themed soundtracks.
Someone who has identified with my work, because it’s always more pleasant to work with someone who likes what we do.
