The Heroine’s Journey of Christina Korovila

What is the best thing that I love about my work? I’ve always loved telling stories, discovering and exploring myself and others through research, and delving into human behavior because it helps me understand the world in a more empathetic way. I’m becoming passionate about doing that, so I think that’s what makes me love my work the most.

What is my idea of happiness? For me happiness is a state of mind, for it accompanies gratitude, awareness, love for myself, and all living creatures. People can be happy even while gazing at the sky behind the bars of a jail cell.

What is my greatest fear? I have many fears, like most people do. I can’t even count them all. Fear is something we don’t actually need unless it’s related to survival or protecting our lives or others’. So, I keep trying to evaluate situations and stay focused on love rather than fear. For me, it’s the only
way not to be terrified all the time by things I have no control over.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Oh, I think it’s my stress.

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire? I admire people who are true to themselves and to others as much as they can be. People who embody authenticity in their acting and are passionate about both their work and life. But most of all, I admire people who are kind and respect themselves and others.

What is my greatest extravagance? I believe my strength lies in my ability to adapt very quickly. It’s like being a chameleon, you know. That quality helps me tremendously to survive in all circumstances.

On what occasion would I lie? Well, I’m trying not to lie! I don’t know if I’m succeeding! Haha! The only occasion would be if my life or the life of my beloved ones were in danger. Generally, it’s for protecting a life from harm.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? One of the aspects I find challenging in my work as an actor is the unpredictability of the industry. Roles and opportunities can be scarce, and rejection is a significant part of the journey. Additionally, the constant pressure to meet expectations and the demanding nature of the profession can be quite taxing at times.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? Every time I do something that has a positive impact on society, I feel happy. I also experience happiness when sharing stories and emotions. But most of all, I feel happy when my work helps me connect with other people.

If I could, what would I change about myself? Every day, I strive to improve myself, to change things and habits that hold me back. I’m not perfect, and I know I’ll never be. So, each day, I endeavor to accept and deal with all aspects of myself as well as I can.

What is my greatest achievement in work? My most significant triumph in my professional endeavors is the profound realization that my work consistently bears a positive impact on others. The awareness that what I contribute to society might place a small yet meaningful brick in the grand wall of making the world a better place and fostering love fills me with immense fulfillment and purpose. It’s a reminder that even modest contributions can ripple through the fabric of humanity, sparking change and hope.

Where would I most like to live? I would love to live in a hobbit house on a farm, surrounded by trees, rivers, and nature.

What is my most treasured possession? My most treasured possession is myself. After all, it’s the only genuine and enduring possession I will carry until the day I depart from this world. I’m connected to it 24/7, so why not embrace it! LoL

What is my most marked characteristic? I think it’s my practicality! I love finding practical solutions for all kinds of issues to make my everyday life better. Or at least I’m trying…

What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city? Any place becomes my favorite when I have the right company.

What books influenced my life and how? I love reading. Numerous books have influenced my life. I won’t refer to any specific ones, but I can tell you they encompass poetry, history, novellas, philosophy, and psychology. Actually, all kinds of readings that could help me become a better person and understand a bit more both myself and others.

What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me? That’s so true. They make me feel I have a responsibility for my own life and don’t need to depend on anyone or anything. They make me feel free.
