What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? the fear of no longer having a job, the precariousness of the job
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? when I shared the stage with Nasreddine Dalil, (arranger of Mozart the Egyptian) at Cabaret Sauvage in Paris
If I could, what would I change about myself? I would like to have more confidence, especially to talk about my work, and address the audience on stage
What is my greatest achievement in work? to set 30 anonymous texts of amazing women to music with my compositions, to sing them with my sister
Where would I most like to live? before I wanted to live in Algeria. Now, I would like to live in a country where women are not afraid to go out at night, and where people are friendly and cheerful…. I don’t know what this country is called!
What is my most treasured possession? my children
What is my most marked characteristic? I’m a dreamer. I am often asked “what are you thinking?” or “hello! are you there?” and I create works with my dreams!
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? I live in a small town in Alsace. at the top of my street going up, there is a field and a forest with lots of animals, deer, hares, foxes…. I love walking there, it makes me dream a lot!
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city? there is a typically Alsatian and very welcoming tea and pastry room in the city center, I love going there with my children
What books influenced my life and how? “the poor man’s son” and “the paths which rise” by Mouloud Ferraoun, reassured me in the fact that my Berber identity was a strength and my art was oriented towards my culture of origin.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? beatrix kiddo in “kill bill”, and baya in ” Baya’s mountain”
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? leader of the armies of the 19th century, resisting French colonization, and Kahina Berber queen and leader of the armies resisting Islamic invasions in the 8th century. And the genius Marie Curie.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? the yellow house of amor hakkar. It’s the story of a couple who lose their son during his military service. The father searches everywhere for a remedy to make his wife smile again
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me? it inspires me that it is a fight to write your own destiny, and to be free in this world.

What project am I looking forward to work on? With musician friends we are going to do a residency tour in order to present our Awri concert and album project. I really look forward to working with them because we always have great emotion playing together.
