What is my idea of happiness?

    – Happiness is relative..humans cannot be happy all the time…

But happiness in life can be gathered from small things.You don’t need big things to be happy.You can be happy even if you see a beautiful blooming flower, happiness is in our heart… we have to enjoy it.

What is my greatest fear?

    – I think we should be afraid to sin. According to My religion, I try to preserve the five precepts for sinning. I am afraid of breaking it.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? 

    – I like the characteristics that I have. Which I got from my parents and my family background. But trusting someone quickly.. is a trait I have that I don’t like.

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?

      – In my profession Who I mostly admire is Malani Fonseka who is the queen of the Sri Lankan cinema. With her I kept my first step in this field. I would not have become an actress without the support and love that I received from her and from all the people who I met in my professional work and specially the ones who chose me for the productions up-to-date.

What is my greatest extravagance?

     – I am not a person who wastes money in general, but any money spent on happiness is not a waste. 

 I like to travel to countries and see beautiful places. I spend most of my money on travel.

On what occasion would I lie?

    –  I Try not to lie as much as possible.. because according to Buddhism, even lying is a violation of one of the five precepts.

 But sometimes there comes a time when you have to tell a lie that doesn’t hurt anyone.If you say that it is not like that, it will also be a big lie.

What is the thing I dislike the most in my work? 

  – In my profession I don’t like the non-creative work that is born without any substance. Similarly, the people who come to this field without proper training and who is not well disciplined.

When and where was I the happiest in my work? 

     –  Every day that I get to participate in a new production is a happy day for me. Every day that I go for filming is a happy day. Every passing day in our field is a happy day!..

What is my greatest achievement in my work?

     – To me working in the field itself is an achievement. recently I received a Piniru award.

Where would I most like to live?

     –  I like to stay more in my country… in my home. I think the most free place is home.. No matter how many countries I want to travel, no matter where I go, the maximum freedom is inside my home. So I like to stay in my home.

What is my most treasured possession?

      – A picture of my father

What is my most marked characteristic?

      – My most marked characteristic is that I stand up for  exploitations on human labor, I really can’t tolerate such things

What is my most inspirational location? 

      – My most inspirational location is the Mount Lavinia beach.  it reminds me off my childhood. That place is so inspirational to me because I grew up in that environment seeing the beach and the mount Lavinia hotel.

What is my favorite place to eat and drink? 

     – I like to go to mount Lavinia beach on weekends. there are some restaurants that I really enjoy.

What books influenced my life and how?

       I am a person who do love to read books. But nothing changed significantly because of a chapter I have read in a book. But my whole career is influenced by a book. because I was chosen for my first work seeing me on a cover page of a book. Those days some of my pictures were used for cover pages in books. So indirectly books have influenced my career.

What do the words ‘ you are the storyteller of your own life to me’?

      –  I am actually the creator of my story. everyone should be the creator of their own life.Even if you are in the company of adults when you are a child, you should find your own way to make your life beautiful and meaningful in your youth.Where I am today is the result of the things I have chosen.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

     – My greatest fan is my husband. He tells the truth about my work whether it is good or bad . He appreciates me.. and points out my weaknesses. He gives me love and a great support to my work. So for sure he is my greatest fan sponsor and my partner in crime..

Which people or companies whould I like to work with? 

      Harsha Udakanda , Menaka Rajapaksha, Sadun Rajakaruna, lakshman pushpakumara are some of the directors I like to work with.. Mahesh sathsara maddumaarachchi is a scriptwriter Who I like to work with. I also like to work with Boston lanka and H U Creations production companies.
