What is my most inspirational location in my city?

It’s 40 mins away from our home, but camping in Joshua Tree is always a magical experience. Just being there at night under the stars.. it never gets old.

Which is my favorite place to eat and drink in my city?

Room service breakfast at The Parker hotel, followed by lunch at the dark and intimate Mr Parker’s and then ending the evening with some red wine at Counter Reformation.

What books influenced my life and how?

Catcher in the rye. It taught me how the inner voice can be more important than the story itself.

You only die once. What music would i listen to on my last day?

Rihanna’s “Umbrella”. It’s the first song i heard after my son was born.

Who is my hero or heroin in fiction?

“Belladonna of sadness”. Because of her resilience.

What do the words you are the storyteller of your own life mean to me?

Its a great mantra. But sometimes bad decisions make good stories too.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

My greatest fans are my gallerists. My sponsors have been several throughout the years like the European MEDIA fund, the venezuelan film fund, the California Arts Commission, and many other Organizations and Institutions. My partner in crime is my husband Daniel.

What do the words passion never retires mean to me?

The word “passion” directly derives from the Latin passio, meaning “to suffer”. The best advice i ever received was ” Never let Art get in the way of Life”.
