The Heroine’s Journey of Reni Bóta Rudas

What is the best thing that I love about my work?

The most beautiful part of my work is the moment when an abstract feeling or inner tension takes shape and color on the canvas. In those moments, time ceases to exist, and only the pure energy of creation remains. I love the freedom of not having to use words to express my deepest thoughts. Through Soul_Canvas Art, I have become capable of transforming my vulnerability into strength. Seeing a viewer stop in front of my painting and recognize their own emotions within it is the greatest recognition I can receive. This work teaches me constant self-reflection and helps me connect with the world.

What is my idea of happiness?

For me, happiness is a state where my identity and my actions are in complete harmony. It doesn’t depend on external appearances or the recognition of others, but on the inner peace I feel while creating. It makes me happy to achieve success according to my own values, whether it’s an April auction or international plans. Part of my happiness is also seeing the progress on my own path and knowing that I am moving forward with confidence. The balance between quality time spent with my loved ones and creative freedom represents fulfillment for me.

What is my greatest fear?

In the past, my greatest fear was remaining invisible and that my art would never reach those it was meant for. Today, I am more concerned that external expectations or financial success might drown out my authentic voice. I would fear for my freedom if an investment sought to buy control over me rather than my art. However, I have learned that fear is merely a signal that I can use as fuel for growth. I believe that as long as I stay true to myself and my own values, I have nothing to fear.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

Sometimes I am too hard on myself and find it difficult to forgive if I am not progressing as fast as I planned. My impatience often causes inner tension because I want to possess future successes in the present. I tend to overextend myself because I want to seize every opportunity to build Soul_Canvas Art. At times, I find it hard to let go of control, even though art must leave room for chance and spontaneity. I am working on accepting the slower, more introspective phases of the process as well.

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?

I deeply respect female gallery owners and mentors, like Beatrix Jakab, who are brave and have an eye for recognizing raw talent. I admire artists who not only create but also build a brand without losing their soul. I also follow investors like Farbod Lotfi, who see character and vision in art, not just numbers. I am inspired by people who dare to dream big and are capable of succeeding on a global level. I look for the kind of commitment that goes beyond mere business and creates real value.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

The hardest part for me is the administration and logistics, which sometimes drain my creative energies. I dislike the part of the art world where appearances and outward signs of wealth are more important than the actual content of the work. Sometimes the constant self-marketing on social media is exhausting, even if I know it is essential for growth. It affects me negatively when art is treated merely as decoration, without seeing the artist’s inner struggles behind it. However, these challenges are also part of the process of becoming a professional artist.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

One of my happiest moments was when the opportunity for my first serious international exhibition became a reality. At that moment, I felt that Soul_Canvas Art had crossed local borders and gained meaning in a larger space. It was also an unforgettable experience to sit in László Laci Kovács’s studio for a podcast recording and talk about my mission. That is when I feel like I am transforming from an “invisible artist” into a significant factor with a voice and weight. These milestones confirm that it was worth persevering with my dreams.

If I could, what would I change about myself?

I would like to have even more inner peace and patience for the waiting periods when things are maturing in the background. I would like to be better at delegating tasks so that I have more time for pure creation instead of organizing. I am learning how to handle both success and difficulties with equal dignity and a healthy distance. I want my confidence to always be rock-solid, regardless of external economic or market feedback. Finally, I would like to experiment even more boldly with techniques that are completely outside my current comfort zone.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

I consider my greatest achievement to be that Soul_Canvas Art has become a recognizable brand with unique value. I am proud of my introductory article on the művész.ma site and my participation in the Karaktervagy.hu 2026 competition. The fact that renowned investors and experts noticed my development, which started on TikTok, is a huge validation. But perhaps my most important professional success is reaching my April auction exhibition and the continuous building of my career. This growth trajectory proves that my character and work hold their ground.

Where would I most like to live?

I would most like to live in a place where boundless opportunities and creative energy surround me every day. The USA, especially a vibrant cultural center like New York or Los Angeles, has always attracted me because of its dynamism and openness. I believe that there, art is not just culture but a throbbing lifestyle where Soul_Canvas Art could truly flourish. A spacious, bright studio apartment is important to me, where a metropolitan panorama inspires me to create my new, monumental canvases. I want to be where the world’s most important artistic dialogues take place and where there are no upper limits to success.

What is my most treasured possession?

My most cherished treasure is my inner vision and my unwavering faith that art is capable of shaping destinies. In terms of physical objects, my very first brushes and sketches are important, as they remind me of the difficult but beautiful days of starting out. The self-identity and independence I have fought for over the years cannot be replaced by any amount of money. I also value my professional relationships—the people who believed in me from the beginning. This intellectual and emotional capital constitutes my true wealth.

What is my most marked characteristic?

My unwavering perseverance and my ability to build value from nothing. Once I decide on a goal, I keep going until I achieve it, whether it’s an auction or mastering a new artistic style. I am honest and straightforward in my creations and human relationships; I don’t like games. I am not afraid of hard work and am willing to make sacrifices for the sake of development. This inner fire and independence drive me forward every single day.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

For me, the most inspiring places are where modern architecture meets contemporary art. I love the clean, minimal spaces of galleries where only the colors of the artworks speak among the white walls. I often visit studios converted from industrial areas, where you can feel the raw, honest creative power. A quiet, hidden garden can also be inspiring if the basic idea for a new series is born there. The contrast between the city’s pulse and its silence provides the rhythm for my work.

What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?

I really enjoy modern, cosmopolitan places that evoke the style and elegance of major American cities. A rooftop bar or a clean, industrial-style café where I can sip my coffee while watching the city’s pulse always recharges me with inspiration. I love unique fusion cuisines where flavors from different cultures meet, as this diversity also appears in my art. Visual aesthetics are important to me, so I choose places that are also architecturally exciting. A glass of quality wine in such an environment is the best way to close a successful day.

What books influenced my life and how?

Alongside art history albums, self-knowledge and psychology books have shaped my worldview the most. They helped me understand my inner processes and how to translate emotional tensions into visual language on the canvas. Biographies featuring strong female destinies always gave me strength in times of uncertainty. These books taught me that the struggle is just a stage leading to the rise. They showed me that every great artist’s story begins with a brave, individual decision.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?

I would probably choose some monumental and uplifting music that symbolizes the fullness of life. I would listen to melodies that evoke the beauty of life, the struggles, and the final arrival. Music always means colors and shapes to me, so I would choose something that brings out my brightest inner images. It is important that the music radiates peace and awakens gratitude in me for the journey I have traveled. That melody would be the last, invisible brushstroke on the canvas of my existence.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

I have always been drawn to characters who were able to be reborn and write a new destiny for themselves through their own strength. I don’t have one specific name, but I am inspired by every heroine who follows her own inner compass in the world. Those figures who refuse to submit to external expectations for the sake of their own artistic or personal freedom. I love mystical and strong female characters who represent both depth and light. They remind me that softness and unbreakable strength can coexist perfectly.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?

My real-life heroes are those female entrepreneurs who were able to build themselves and their brands from scratch. Those artists who remained true to creation even in difficult times and did not sell their souls for easy success. Mentors like Beatrix Jakab, who give their time and knowledge unsparingly to help talents rise. I look upon everyone as a hero who dares to remain authentic in a world that constantly wants to domesticate them. Their courage gives me faith in building Soul_Canvas Art.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?

The movie “Frida” is a fundamental work for me because it shows the healing power of art and uncompromising passion. I believe everyone should see works that speak of the triumph of the human will over physical or spiritual pain. Movies that focus on the depth of human relationships and empathy are essential to our development. I love visually strong films that teach something about light and composition with every frame. These stories help us better understand and accept our own humanity.

What role play stories in my life and work?

Stories represent the bridge between my inner world and the viewers; every painting of mine is a silent narrative. Every canvas is a chapter from my life, a processed trauma, a joyful moment, or a chronicle of a future dream. The essence of Soul_Canvas Art is visual storytelling, where colors are the words and textures are the emphases of the sentences. I believe that through the honest sharing of our own stories, we truly connect with others. My story is about struggle, independence, and the liberating power of art.

What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me?

This sentence is my personal declaration of independence and the cornerstone of my freedom. It means that my destiny is not written by circumstances, economic indicators, or the expectations of others, but by myself. I decide what colors I paint my tomorrow with and how I reframe the difficulties of my past. This perspective puts responsibility in my hands but also releases a huge creative power within me. My life is a work of art in progress, and I am its only authentic author.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

I am fortunate because there are several people in my life who believe in my vision. The professional support and faith of Beatrix Jakab and Coolturart were crucial for Soul_Canvas Art to step up to the next level. There are collectors and friends who saw the potential in me even during the early, struggling periods. The patience and backing of my family provide the security from which I can build every day. They are my “partners in crime” with whom I celebrate every single painting sold and every successful exhibition.

Which people or companies would I like to work with?

I would like to cooperate with renowned international galleries that are open to emotion-based abstraction and female energies. I would happily work with investors like Farbod Lotfi, who support the global expansion of art brands with strategy and trust. I would be interested in collaborations with premium brands in interior design or fashion, where my paintings could appear in new forms. Working with Beatrix Jakab and Coolturart remains a fundamental priority for me. I am looking for partners who value uniqueness, character, and uncompromising quality.

What project am I looking forward to work on?

Currently, I am focusing all my energy on my April auction collection and the preparation for my 2027 Milan exhibition. I am very much looking forward to completing those large-scale, monumental canvases intended to ground my plans for the USA. I am also planning an interactive project where viewers can gain insight into the spiritual background of the Soul_Canvas Art creation process. I am excited by the thought of presenting my art in digital spaces, extending the boundaries of physical paintings. Every new project is an opportunity to prove that my art has a place at the world’s forefront.

Where can you see me or my work?

My work can be followed continuously on Soul_Canvas Art’s social media platforms, especially on TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn. I regularly publish on the művész.ma professional site, where my introductory article can also be read. My paintings will soon be visible at Coolturart gallery exhibitions and prestigious events like the April auction. My website and professional profiles provide up-to-date information on current collections. In 2027, the audience can meet me in Milan, and hopefully, later in the USA as well.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me?

For me, this means that creation is not a job or a profession, but my very way of existing. As long as my eyes see and my mind creates, I will paint because this inner fire is not age-dependent and cannot be extinguished. Passion is what gives meaning to everyday life and gets me through the most difficult market or personal periods. There is no age or state when my creativity would “retire,” as my soul is constantly evolving. This is an eternal commitment to myself that I will always remain true to my artistic calling.

Which creative heroines should Peter invite to tell their story?

I first suggest Beatrix Jakab, the owner of Coolturart, who does pioneering work in mentoring contemporary artists. I would like to see women in the program who dared to make a big change and are now successfully following their own path. Their stories would authentically demonstrate how creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset strengthen each other. I believe their experiences would greatly enrich the Heroine’s Journey community.
