What is the best thing that I love about my work?
My job makes my days always different each others. This takes me always up to the news but at the same time, it gives me to manage all the tasks . Also, I love human relationship in my job, even if it is challenging: relationships are always at the center of every communication process, from the smallest local business to the big company.
What is my idea of happiness?
A glass of wine on the sofa and a film with the people I love; one evening at classical performances, in the Greek Theater of Syracuse; a journey to discover new places; when someone read my writings and say: “You were able to tell me what I didn’t know how to tell you”.

What is my greatest fear?
In high school my Greek teacher said: “Remember that we always live twice. One in our real life and one in the mind and heart of those who have known us “. My biggest fear is disappearing, one day, without having left a trace behind me: in my work, but above all, in those minds and hearts I met.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
My rigidity and inflexibility, coming from the need to plan and control everything is happening around me and, of course, to raise my daughter, Anita. But still, she is the only one who can fix me.
Which living persons in my profession do I most admire?
Ammiro molto Marisandra Lizzi, founder di Mirandola e IPress Live e Alice Siracusano, founder di Luz.
I greatly admire Marisandra Lizzi, founder of Mirandola e IPress Live and Alice Siracusano, founder of Luz.
What is my greatest extravagance?
The need to hear what is happening; often without filters. I need deep emotions through little and meaningful action and boost to feel truly alive.
On what occasion would I lie?
As a child, often: especially when my mom asked me to clean the house and I read most of the time, taking only a few minutes for cleaning ☺
As an adult, less and less: around the age of 30, I decided to do only what I really want to do and say everything I think: so, the truth is all!
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
I conti ☹
Accounting.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
With my hands on the keyboard, the day I wrote the last word of my book (an essay on human to human communication to be published in the autumn of 2020 by Flaccovio publisher).
When I find a story that touches me in my everyday life.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
I would like to be a little flexible, first of all with myself.
What is my greatest achievement in work?
To build a small business that empower female sensitivity (but not only) in a traditional and difficult land as Sicily. And, to build a group of young and talented women who can make their dreams come true here.
Where would I most like to live?
I often thought that if I had been born elsewhere, my life would have been simpler and I would have reached more important goals with less efforts. Today I think my story would have been even less significant. So I say: today I am happy to be able to live here, in Sicily, with the chance to travel often and to take care of companies based elsewhere.
What is my most treasured possession?
Tenacity: without perseverance it I wouldn’t have achieved a lot of goals. For sure, I would have given up on many dreams.
What is my most marked characteristic?
Stubbornness (to be tenacious you must also be stubborn …) and enthusiasm: I need to contribute and get involved in the things I do.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
The wonderful stretch of the cycle path in Syracuse: 7 kilometers of rock on the sea, in the heart of the city, surrounded by wild nature. I go often there just to think, to relax and to reconnect myself.
What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?
In Sicily you can eat and drink very well in many places! I love places not crowded, with no frills. Taking care of guests’ well-being. I love the Amocu fusion cuisine in Catania, the Piano B pizza in Syracuse, the incomparable Liccamuciula granita and the Cialoma seafood dishes in Marzamemi.
What books influenced my life and how?

Cloud Atlas: because life is a circle and each of us is part of it and can change it.
What role plays art in my life and work?
For me, Art has the power to inspire and to overcome geographical and cultural barriers, but also, the barriers of personal stories. Art is the ability to make interesting stories of everyday humanity, that sometimes could be insignificant. A book like “What we talk about when we talk about love” by Carver is capable of making us feel great even in the trivial and insignificant gestures of our lives.
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me?
It reminds me of the Latin phrase “homo faber fortunae suae”, i.e. “everyone is the architect of their own life”. I have learned over the years that the story is a precious tool for overcoming pain and empower life: telling yourself also means learning to reinvent your story with other eyes.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2020?
