The Heroine’s Journey in Amsterdam : Know Your Story in One Day
One of the most striking features of the story we tell ourselves about ourselves and our creative work is how little we understand them. At The Heroine’s Journey, we believe this lack of knowledge or our own story is very often what stands between us and greater fulfillment – a relationship that will bring us joy, a job that motivates us each morning, or a wiser approach to those situations where we seem to keep making the same familiar, frustrating errors.
Know Your Story in a Day will draw on our Core Curriculum, focusing on the exploration of the story we tell ourselves about ourselves. The teaching methods aren’t entirely standard – our storytellers invite almost continuous interaction, encouraging participants to actively engage in self-reflection and share their stories with others. As always at our events, we aim to establish an atmosphere where all feel welcome to contribute and question, safe in the knowledge that our courage will be met with warmth, open-mindedness, and good humour.
Our seminar on ‘Know Your Story in One Day’ is for anyone who wishes to explore – as part of a curious, like-minded community – what truly interests, motivates and excites them, as well as what lies behind some of their most important fears, anxieties, and sorrows.

Peter de Kuster is the founder of The Heroine’s Journey & Hero’s Journey project, a storytelling firm which helps creative professionals to create careers and lives based on whatever story is most integral to their lives and careers (values, traits, skills and experiences). Peter’s approach combines in-depth storytelling and marketing expertise, and for over 20 years clients have found it effective with a wide range of creative business issues.
Peter is writer of the series The Heroine’s Journey and Hero’s Journey books, he has an MBA in Marketing, MBA in Financial Economics and graduated at university in Sociology and Communication Sciences.
