What is the best thing that I love about my work? I love that I can express everything through my art: my mood, my thoughts, my feelings…without having to say anything.
What is my idea of happiness? Happiness is for me to be healthy and be surrounded with my family and friends. If you do not have these two important “things” in your life, you will always struggle to find true happiness.
What is my greatest fear? To lose my loved ones.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? To be too sensitive sometimes.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? I admire Erin Hanson, the contemporary American painter, who made her dream come true through her talent and hard work.
What is my greatest extravagance? I always use vivid colours for my paintings! Someone used to say I use the colours “bravely”
On what occasion would I lie? I do not lie but I may keep things for myself if I feel the need.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? I am lucky as I love everything in my work as it is my passion!
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? Perhaps when an artwork of mine was selected the very first time in a competition. It gave me the faith in what I do and it showed me that I am going on the right way.
If I could, what would I change about myself? Difficult to answer. On one way I would change many things, on the other way nothing. It depends, why I would change that character or feature of mine? To be more successful? To be more accepted by others? At the end in my opinion, we are constantly changing and forming ourselves without even noticing it.
What is my greatest achievement in work? Let me say I have many small achievements which are all important for me as they are part of my artistic journey. At the end all these small achievements form a big achievement. I love the continuity that every week I have the opportunity to accomplish something which I can be be proud of. Respected people like Peter de Kuster contacts me and offers the opportunity for an interview or Prof. Pasquale Celona, President of the Florence Biennale writes me an email acknowledging my art and offering possibility of participation in the Biennale exhibition.
Where would I most like to live? I am happy where I live in Cham, Switzerland as I am together with the person who I love. However, it would be nice if it were closer to my family and friends.
What is my most treasured possession? My wedding ring.
What is my most marked characteristic? I have no idea…but you should ask others as I have definitely one
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? Absolutely the lake of Zug. I can walk on the lakeside, watch the mountains and collect inspiration for my next painting.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city? An Italian Pizzeria, Milano, with the best pizza ever.
What books influenced my life and how? Several books from my favourite author, Wilbur Smith. He writes in a way that you cannot stop reading. My ever-favourite book of him is The Sunbird. He describes friendship, love and loyalty in such a way which leaves deep mark on the reader.
What music would I listen on my last day? LP – Please do not tell my husband 🙂
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? I love Wonder Woman in fiction. And I admire many wonder women in real life…
Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime? Forrest Gump.
What role play stories in my life and work? Everything is a story at the end…my artworks tell you a story, the things we do in our everyday life form a complete story at the end of the day. The only question is how you can share your story with your audience and how they perceive it.
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ mean to me? It means to me that I shape my own life. All I do is my decision and I cannot blame anyone else for it. Others play -of course- an important part in my life but my story ends how I choose to end it…
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My husband.
Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2021? As most of the artists I would like to work with art galleries and art collectors from all over the world.
Which people in my profession who can make a real difference in my creative career would i love to meet in 2021? I would love to meet Erin Hanson one day.
What project, in 2021, am I looking forward to work on? I have several projects ongoing but the next one is the Swiss Art Expo at the main station in Zürich which I am looking forward to.
