What is the best thing that I love about my work? Whether when I write articles or when I do my work in the publishing industry, what I like the most is to always to have the possibility to learn, discover, and make my ideas evolve. Books have this power to teach us across our entire lifetime.

What is my idea of happiness? A room filled with books, a good chair, a fire pit, and a hot chocolate.

What is my greatest fear? A lot of things seriously affrays me: the climate, the economy, politics but if we talk real fear, spiders!

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? My impostor syndrome.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? All the ones that do not fear of trying new editorial adventures. Giving names wouldn’t be meaningful, but a given courage is surly needed to start writing a book… and then handling its publication.

What is my greatest extravagance? My style, or no- dress style, apparently…

On what occasion would I lie? In order to save people I love.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? Paperwork/bureaucracy

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? Hard question… Maybe the days when I had the opportunity to work with Michel Butor. He was a very good writer, defunct in 2016, but who was an extraordinary person.

If I could, what would I change about myself? Nothing, I truly think that we have to accept ourselves the way we are. We don’t go forwards with “if”s.

What is my greatest achievement in work? Each time an author thanks me, I see this as a wonderful success.

Where would I most like to live? I live in Paris and I love Paris, however I see myself aging in a countryside house, but not further than a hundred kilometres from Paris.

What is my most treasured possession? An original edition of Ninon de Lenclos.

What is my most marked characteristic? This should be asked to the ones that know me

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? There is a small square in Paris whose name is “place Dauphine”, I like stopping there and watch the time go by.

What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city? My living room, I’m a homebird.

What books influenced my life and how? Books from Alexandre Dumas. I read them again regularly. They helped me create a dynamic, the one of opening a book, it’s been 30 years now.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? Lacrimosa, Requiem in D minor from Mozart.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Indiana Jones.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? Good question, I have to think about it.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? “Les Ailes du désir” (Der Himmel über Berlin) produced by Wim Wenders.

What role play stories in my life and work? I live and work surrounded by books, stories transport me, make me think, ultimately follow me everywhere.

What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me? That we are responsible for our acts and hence of the paths we take.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My fiancé… at least I hope so.

Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2022? Oh, with people that publish in different publishing houses, I think about Véronique Olmi, Laurence Malençon, Virginie Girod for example.

What project, in 2022, am I looking forward to work on? All the books to come.
