What is the best thing that I love about my work? I love voice over work because there is such a variety of work to choose from. When I was young, and commercials would come onto the tv, while everyone would leave to get a snack or go to the bathroom, I would stay to listen to the commercials. I would listen to the voice, the copy, and the music. As a Professional Voice Acting Talent, I get to study all of those things and then create a voice with the emotion to pull in a listener or viewer. It’s really fun. I love it.
What is my idea of happiness? Happiness is a state of mind and new experiences. I make a choice to be happy or I find things to do that bring happiness, For example, trying out a new restaurant or going to a concert or taking a walk through a heavily treed park with a clear walking path. Those are the things that bring me happiness. When it comes to Voice Over, each script is a new experience. I get to infuse my voice into that script and give it some gusto. Happiness is also being in balance with my loved ones and enjoying their company.
What is my greatest fear? Our words and thoughts have power. Having a greatest fear is not something I ponder. I don’t like to take my mind to a place where something has not happened.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? I have ADHD. I can get so hyper focused on something that everything else gets drowned out. This can be great for work, but not so great when I am with my family and my husband is asking me something; or my kids start up a conversation and I have them on mute.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? I recently had intensive voice over coaching with Shelly Shenoy and it was the ultimate voice over training experience. Shelly is a Voice Director &Audio Producer for major network cable & streaming services such as Netflix & the BBC. She is the voice of HBO Max, Red Dead Redemption 2, The Walking Dead, Minecraft, Batman, Game of Thrones & more. I really admire all that she has done. Follow her @ShellyShenoy

What is my greatest extravagance? I once purchased a newer but used Audi A8. It was gorgeous and I named her Ms Lovely. She was the fastest car I have ever driven. I quickly found out how expensive it was to fix Ms Lovely. Now, I drive a 2020 Honda Hybrid Accord and I love it. It feels pretty extravagant to have great gas mileage. The maintenance is way easier too.
On what occasion would I lie? If I were to attend an elementary music concert, I would probably tell other parents all of the children sound wonderful.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? If I run into any audio issues, it makes for a stressful few moments until I can figure out what the issue is. The equipment I use for Voice Over work is part of my bread and butter. If my equipment is not working, I am not working. I would also say that sometimes editing a long script is not the most fun for me but the end result makes all of it worth it.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? I am most happy in my voice over booth reading a script. Whether it’s for a job or audition, I am in my happy place!
If I could, what would I change about myself? I am working on saying no more often to the things I don’t care to do. I am slowly and effectively changing my people pleasing behaviors. When I say no to someone, I say yes to myself. I consider that to be self care and self love. I am always in process of
becoming a better version of myself.
What is my greatest achievement in work? I worked for 23 years in the healthcare software industry as software engineer/ analyst for Fortune 500 companies. Having the courage to
leave a high paying secure job to jump into Voice Over has felt amazing because I am being true to who I am. Making a switch and taking all of the risk is one of my greatest achievements.
Where would I most like to live? I love Tucson, Arizona. I can’t wait to get back to the desert. I
currently live in Spokane, Washington with my husband and two kids. We moved up to be closer to family and help our aging parents. The desert is in my heart and I will be there some day soon.
What is my most treasured possession? It is the feral cat that took me over a year to tame. Her name is Mama Cat and she truly is my treasure. I named her Mama Cat after the numerous batches of kittens she produced. When she warmed up to me, I had her spayed and she was also vaccinated. She has been my lovebug ever since. She is a fluffy calico with a gentle and sweet personality. If I had not given her a chance, I would have missed out on a beautiful companion.
What is my most marked characteristic? I am tenacious and never give up. Whether it’s reaching a goal or making a voice over commercial exactly as a director wants, I won’t settle. I am also quite loyal to those I love.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? I am living in Spokane, Washington. My most inspirational location would be at Arbor Crest Wine Cellars. It’s a historic property with award-winning wines, music events, stunning views, and park-like grounds. I love to attend concerts with my husband in the summers. We usually buy a bottle of wine, sit in the rose garden and listen to the music.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city? I love so many places. If I have to pick one place place, it would be Saranac Public House. It’s downtown Spokane, WA at 21 West Main Street. Their menu changes ever so often, but whenever I go, it seems that the House Baked Soft Pretzel
served with their beer mustard & cheese sauce is always on the menu. It’s dreamy goodness! If you are in Spokane, Washington, go there. It’s good!
What books influenced my life and how? I am a voracious reader of non-fiction books. Fortunately or unfortunately, I am not aware of a particular book that has influenced my life. They all feel like they are blurred into one big book. I pull bits and pieces from all of the books I have read. I have boxes and boxes of books. I have shelves of books. I love books!
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? All my favorite country, pop and classical tunes.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Wonder Woman. I have loved her since the age of four.
(See attached photo of me posing as Wonder Woman)

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? My husband has been rock solid for me for 23 years. He is definitely my hero
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime? Right now, I am obsessed with the new Top Gun Maverick movie. The depth that has been created with each character is magnificent. The emotions that were created were pulled from the original Top Gun Movie. These emotions were carried throughout the entire film and were built upon the first Top Gun. The dramatic effect is superlative with twists in the story that build up to being on the edge of your seat wondering what happens next. If someone has not seen this movie and they are reading this, I am not giving any spoiler alerts. You have to see this movie.
What role play stories in my life and work? I have crazy stories to tell. I get thrown into some of the
quirkiest situations. A lot of people ask when my book comes out. Ha ha ha!
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ mean to me? I am the creator of my own reality. I decide each day the type of attitude I will have and what I want to accomplish for that
day.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My kids would be my greatest fans. They are supportive with anything I do. My husband is my partner in crime. He’s a Lieutenant for the
Spokane Fire Department. We love to travel, cook good food and try new things.
Which people or companies would I like to work with? My dream would be to do voice over promotions for shows on Netflix and Hulu and Paramount Plus. I want to voice over something that sounds like this, “Tune in to a brand new episode of Yellowstone on Paramount Plus, Sundays at 7 central standard time.” I would love to be able to narrate on The History Channel and the Discovery Channel or A&E’s True Crime show. I would want to voice over something that sounds like this, “Some crimes committed are so undeniably gruesome that they defy logic and have people asking questions, forever more.”
What project am I looking forward to work on? I look forward to working on any project I am hired to voice. I want to make it sound exactly as the director wishes.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? The things I love the most do not ride off into the sunset. I don’t stop loving what I love.
