What is the best thing that I love about my work? / What is my idea of happiness? What I enjoy most about being an artist is that I can work with my hands creating. It is a job that never bores me and always motivates and excites me. I feel happiest when people trust my work and my creative ability.
What is my greatest fear? My greatest fear would be not being able to live from what I love in this life. To stop creating and making art would be non-negotiable for me. As an artist, I need a job that constantly challenges me creatively.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? I think the trait I dislike most in myself is impostor syndrome. I believe all of us face it to some degree.
Which living persons in my profession do I most admire? There are many Paraguayan and international artists and painters I admire, especially those I identify with because of their medium and narrative figuration. Mauro C. Martínez (USA) and Enrique Collar (Paraguay) are among the ones I most admire.
What is my greatest extravagance? I believe my greatest extravagance lies in my artistic language. Irony, satire, and above all humor and rhetoric are central in my work. They are the way I express myself creatively.
On what occasion would I lie? I don’t like lying; I am an honest and transparent person. But if I ever had to lie, it would only be to avoid hurting others. Still, I always prefer to tell the truth.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? What I dislike the most is leaving a piece unfinished or not achieving the result I had in mind. I like to finish what I start, and it frustrates me when I can’t.
If I could, what would I change about myself? I would like not to lose motivation when things don’t turn out the way I expected.
What is my greatest achievement in work? I believe my greatest achievement is that, being young, I have managed to build a good artistic career. I am proud of my accomplishments and I hope to keep growing. My dream is to collaborate with other countries, galleries, illustration agencies, and exhibitions. I deeply appreciate and value when people trust my work.
Where would I most like to live? I am happy living in my country, Paraguay. However, I would love to continue my education abroad and learn more about painting in other places.
What is my most treasured possession? I collect objects with emotional value, whether they are mine, or from friends or family. More than anything, I treasure artworks or objects with sentimental meaning.
What is my most marked characteristic? My most marked characteristics are humor, color, animals, and a playful narrative.
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? My most inspirational place is my studio, where I live and work.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city? It is a Japanese restaurant called Sukiyaki.
What books influenced my life and how? I have several painting books that belonged to my grandfather. The one that influenced me the most is by Michael Sowa, which left a lasting mark on my artistic vision.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day? Something relaxing, like classical music.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Angela Anaconda or Helga Pataki.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? Joan of Arc.
Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime? I don’t have one specific movie, but I love the French New Wave.
What role play stories in my life and work? I like to talk about what happens to me or about social critique, but always with a touch of humor. I want to laugh.
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ mean to me? I have always loved a Latin phrase: magnum opus, which means “masterpiece. ” I think that as artists we are creators of our own reality, and we should see it as our greatest work.
Which people or companies would I like to work with? I would like to work with more galleries, cultural projects, artistic residencies, or illustration projects. I especially love painting or illustrating stories.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? As an artist, I believe we will always have the need to create constantly, until the very last day of our lives. I cannot imagine even one single day without conceiving a work of art.
