The Heroine’s Journey of Rowena Frenzel

What is the best thing that I love about my work?
That i can do whatever is in my head. Bringing thoughts and dreams in reality.

What is my idea of perfect happiness?
If suddenly everything gets away from me (all materials and people), i hope i can be still happy deep inside with the emotions and memories, which i got the chance to experience, along my life. Happiness comes from within. Not from any material or other people. I hope i can reach this deep mental happiness one day.

What is my greatest fear?
That i cant have any value or positive impact in this life. For other people, creatures and nature. I want to bring as much love and kindness in this world and show others that this is the right way to live.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
When i tell people i will visit them or meet them, but rarely do because im such an introvert and feel too comfortable in my little cave. (I try to improve that at the moment.)

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?
I actually dont have any person i admire. There are many amazing and wonderful people on this earth and in this industry but if i would admire someone, i would put this person above others and i dont wanna do that. I get inspired a lot from others and their stories help me to grow and understand the world more.

What is my greatest extravagance?
Videogames and all kind of Nerd stuff. I actually dont need any of it but man, a room looks so much better with it!

On what occasion would I lie?
I try to be as honest as i can most of the time. Im just a human though, so i would say when i lie then because of not hurting someone or when i feel it is the best for myself.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
That you cant be just an artist who does just art. You have to be a manager, an organizer, know things about marketing and being an overall business person. You have to take care of so much paper stuff, taxes, invoices, bills, financiall stuff, organizing things and so on. It is a big part of being an artist.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
I cant really tell. I choosed my work because it is my hobby and now my passion since i was a little kid. What means im in general always happy. I have the chance to work on my dreams and my favourite activity. If i have to say something then, when i realize that i made the next step to level up in my career. That makes me super proud of myself because i did that all on my own.

If I could, what would I change about myself?
Being more disciplined.

What is my greatest achievement in work?
That i built my business on my own starting from zero.

Where would I most like to live?
My dream is to be an independent freelance artist. That would give me a lot of freedom in my work. I could work from everywhere so i actually dont have a specific place. I would prefer to have the people i love around me though. And i have to live somewhere close to nature. Like a forest and a lake where i can fill up my energy when i need to.

What is my most treasured possession?
The memories in my heart.

What is my most marked characteristic?
Being kind and thoughtful.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
I live near a river and a park, called ‘Rheinpark’ and ‘Pollerwiesen’. It is always beautiful to take a walk there.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink, in my city?
I dont have any. I cook on my own most of the time or eat what my mom makes. She is the best cook ever!!

What books influenced my life and how?
There are a lot of books i could recommend. I only read self-development books what is really interesting to understand human beings, science and our mind better.

Just a few examples:
– Make Money selling your Art
– The 5 Love languages
– One small Step can change your Life
– Rich Dad, Poor Dad
– You are Badass, how to stop doubting your greatness
– The Power of Now
– #choosehappy, letting go of your Past..
.. and many more

Who are my favorite writers?
I dont have any.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?
Probably Jazz or Smooth Jazz.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
All kind of super heroes (my favorite TMNT).

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
Every human being who choose love over hate. Who does everything to support and save other living creatures on this planet.

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?
I have so many Fantasy and Scifi movies i love! But if i would recommend other kind of movies i would say these two: ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ & ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’.

What role plays art in my life and work?
Well art is my hobby and job so it takes a huge part in my work life. But also in my privat life, because i was always a person who was creative. I cant be not creative. I wouldnt be happy.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
Im grateful for all the people out there who actually dont know me in person but still love my art and myself and support me online when i need them. Thanks to my community i built over the years. You guys are all amazing!

Whom would I like to work with in 2019/2020?
I was never someone who admired a person so i cant tell. But i meet so many cool people along my journey that i would love to work with the ones i can connect the best. I also love Oprah Winfrey and the way she thinks. Maybe one day i can meet her and do a talk together to inspire others.

Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2019/2020?
Too many!! I know so many artists around the world and hopefully i can meet a bunch of them one day on a convention.

What project, in 2019/2020, am I looking forward to work on?
Im so blessed at the moment with work and all of them have something to do with Creature Designs! Im especially grateful that i can work together with pro artists who worked for AAA games and movies for many years. Im super excited about that!!

Where can you see me or my work in 2019/2020?
