What is the best thing that I love about my work?

Working with different cultures and nationalities, being able to travel and the fact that no day is the same.

What is my idea of happiness?

Being out in nature on a hike with friends. Although many other things bring happiness too, I get happy when I see a squirrel in the park, having a coffee with a friend or whilst eating an ice cream. It is important to enjoy the small things in life!

What is my greatest fear?

(Loved ones) dying.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?

I know to be quite rigid in some of my opinions and beliefs.

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?

Nothing to do with my profession but I admire both Sir David Attenborough and Simon Reeve, for their interest in nature and people and how ever much they have seen of the world, they remain in awe of it.

What is my greatest extravagance?

There is only one and I would not call it an extravagance, it is spending money on travel and exploring.

On what occasion would I lie?

In order not to hurt someone.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

Event planning requires a lot of work behind the scenes one of which is preparing the budget, going over invoices and payments and this although key of any project, is not my favorite part.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

That is an easy question to answer, it is when I am on site at an event and one sees how everything that was planned for and worked on is coming together. Most of the time this is in another country working with an international team which makes everything even more interesting.

If I could, what would I change about myself?

Take a bit more risk in life.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

To go from a corporate job to working free lance to be able to schedule my own time, for volunteering for example.

Where would I most like to live?

I live where I would want to live, Turin as a city is not too small neither too big, has plenty of cultural activities, good food and is located close to the mountains and not too far from the sea side either.

What is my most treasured possession?

Travel memories and memories of time spent with family and friends (or a combination of the both). In addition I collect wooden boxes from the places I visited and looking at them takes me back there.

What is my most marked characteristic?

I think I am an optimistic person with quite a bit of energy.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

On top of the Mole Antonelliana to see the entire city and zooming in on Porta Palazzo with all its different cultures and food, the largest market in Europe where one can literally find anything!

What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?

Turin has a lot of beautiful squares (like many Italian cities) and it is lovely to have a so-called apericena (which has an aperitive combined with dinner) or pizza on piazza 4 Marzo or Piazza Bodoni.

What books influenced my life and how?

A lot of historic novels such as Gertrude Bell: Queen of the Desert, Shaper of Nations. She was an explorer, writer, diplomat and much more and travelled where no women had gone before. She shows that everything is possible when you put your heart and soul in something, a real inspiration! And another absolute favorite, Humankind by Rutger Bregman, through history and true stories he explains how the human species is essentially good.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?

Something classical even though I am not an expert at all, I would go for, either Rachmaninov’s second piano concert, Tchaikovsky’s first piano concert and Beethoven’s 5th piano concert and La Traviata, not necessarily in that order.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

Atticus Finch

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?

My parents, they are generous, kind, always helping others and full of life and able to enjoy the small things that life has to offer. They have always and still are supporting me with all of my life decisions and although I live far away, they are happy when I am happy, the greatest gift a parent can give their child!

Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?

Anything with Katherine Hepburn or Bette Davis in it.

What role play stories in my life and work? What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me?

Stories inspire me and so do the people who tell them. As for my own life, I am in charge of my own story.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

As above, my parents.

Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2022?

I would love to work with some destination marketing or travel companies.

What project, in 2022, am I looking forward to work on?

Projects with existing clients and hopefully some new clients as well.
