The Heroine’s Journey of Aurélia Dausse

What is the best thing that I love about my work? The best thing that I love about my work is meeting creative and passionate people and share experience with them. I have the chance to express feelings and stories that matter for me as an actress and as a filmmaker.

What is my idea of happiness? For me happiness is a feeling of joy. Life can be joyful and painful, happiness is like a research that never end … doing things with a purpose, spending time with people you love and admire, enjoying nature, gives you a sense of it!

What is my greatest fear? My greatest fear is suffering and death, my own and those of the people I care the most. Also, I am afraid when I see what humans can do to other humans… in fact, I am afraid by all kind of violence.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? I try to learn to like everything in myself even the negative parts. I really like to sleep, I guess I should try to sleep less…even if it is very good for the health!

Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? I admire Steven Spielberg a lot, he has always been a very creative director, with a special touch, giving very positive energy, specially to the children.

What is my greatest extravagance? I am not very extravagant; I should be more! Ok, maybe dancing like crazy!

On what occasion would I lie? I lied a lot when I was a teenager, I invented a lot of stories to explain why I didn’t do my homework, and my teachers always believed me, even if it was very extravagant! So I guess I was very extravagant in my lies … As an adult, I would use it if I had to save my life or others’ lives.

I also had time to visit the Parthenon, it was a wonderful experience for me.

If I could, what would I change about myself? If I could change to be eternal.

What is my greatest achievement in work? My best achievement will be my next project. My short film was broadcast by French TV and I was very happy.
