What is the best thing that I love about my work? Performing. I love singing and being on the stage. It is the full process: rehearsals, outfit choice, work on the stage presence and on how to interact with the audience. All those actions blended with the artistic expression and the intimacy of my personality feels fascinating and dynamic, which makes me believe that I will never get tired of it because every time will be different. I see evolution in that and so I love it.

What is my idea of happiness? A state of being Oneness. I mean, being fully present in life. A process that sees mind and consciousness aligned and therefore that sees the person in a state of inner stillness.

What is my greatest fear? It is to lose someone very close to me, someone I care about and not being able to accept it. I am referring to death. Only recently, I have started to look at it from a different perspective. Sometimes, there is a lot of influence from the culture. Death is something horrible, unacceptable, traumatic, and painful in the place I grew up. We do not celebrate if someone dies, we show respect with mourning and silence for a long period that most of the time drags us in depression by the end of it. I believe that death is the end of the earthly pain and suffering. Death is liberation, it is when our mission on the earth is over. Sometimes, It doesn’t feel real and it seems so unfair that some people are not here with us anymore. However, looking at it from this perspective helped me a lot to avoid painful days.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? Ahah. Sometimes, I can be a piece of work, I can be too repetitive.

Which living persons in my profession do I most admire? Madonna.

What is my greatest extravagance? Fashion. I used to collect very peculiar and limited edition shoes and sunglasses.

On what occasion would I lie? When I am out and not at my best and I bump into an acquaintance who asks me how I am. I will just say that I am fine.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? Destructive competition.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work? When I went to Nottinghamshire to record my very first single. I spent three days there, staying near the studio. It was all nature around, the studio was on the upper floor of the building. You could see the sky so close. It felt magical.

If I could, what would I change about myself? I will take some certain things less seriously.

What is my greatest achievement? My first release and self employed job.

Where would I most like to live? In any hot, lively place.

What is my most treasured possession? The 11th personal diary I wrote.

What is my most marked characteristic? Honesty.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city? Alexandra Palace Park.

What is my favourite place to eat and drink in my city? A very intimate, Indian restaurant in King’s Cross.

What books influenced my life and how? “The subtle art of not giving a f*ck” by Mark Manson. It gave me discipline and a different perspective about life. It shook me to the core. I wasn’t in a good place/space at the time and I couldn’t really see that I was the most important thing in my life and all the rest was secondary.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen to on my last day? Glam Rock. Queen.

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Mulan.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life? I am my own hero. However, I have got some special women and men around me who inspire me and push me a lot.

Which movie would I recommend to see once in a lifetime? Good Will Hunting.

What role play stories in my life and work? I love stories. All sorts. They play a very big role in my life and work. There are infinite reasons but a particular one that has in common all of them is the learning experience.

What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ mean to me? They give me a sense of freedom.
