What is the best thing that I love about my work? I love Being able to communicate food and its environment. I like being able to help gastronomic producers, farmers, cooks, producers, to promote their products. I want to collaborate so that consumers can know the great hard work that gastronomic producers do to create a product.
What is my idea of happiness? Happiness is sleeping peacefully. And love what you do.
What is my greatest fear? My biggest fear is leaving this earthly plane without having done some things that I still have to do.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself? I am usually very sensitive and sometimes many things affect me. I would like to let many things go.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire? The photographer Sebastian Salgado , for his art and his human quality. Is a big artist, and big human too.
What is my greatest extravagance? I believe that everything is possible. That’s my most extravagant side. I don’t believe in the impossible.
On what occasion would I lie? I hate the lie. But if I find myself in a life-threatening situation perhaps? hahaha I hope it doesn’t happen to me.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work? How amazingly fast technology is going. This is amazing and exhausting.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work? I have had many happy moments in my work. I feel lucky. But if I have to choose one, it would be the first time I present my first photography book to the public. This book was presented in “Bodegas Alvear” a very important winery with a lot of history. In Montilla, España.
If I could, what would I change about myself? I would like to be able to become a more relaxed person. I live life very intensely and this is sometimes not so good.
What is my greatest achievement in work? if it is something specific, I could say that my book or my way of communicating things, either through the image or verbally.
Where would I most like to live? A couple of years ago I wanted to live in NY for a couple of months. Now I want to live in a motorhome and tour part of Europe. Is my dream.
What is my most treasured possession? God. I can not live without him
What is my most marked characteristic? my constant movement or evolution
What is my most inspirational location, in my city? The vineyards of these lands. I live in a town with a wine designation of origin and seeing the vineyards is something special for me. They inspire me a lot.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city? Any place with good music, good food and good company. In Spain it is easy to find good gastronomy.
What books influenced my life and how? The book that has influenced me the most in my life is The Magic of Thinking Big, author DAVID J SCHWARTZ. This book made me understand that sometimes we waste time on nonsense and that we must move towards our desires. ¨The biggest seller in the world¨ Author OG Mandino. It is a beautiful story about the art of selling. Another book is ¨You can and you will do it¨ Joel Osteen helped me to magnify my faith, in God and in me.

What role play stories in my life and work? I always believe that my life is a movie and this motivates me. In the movie of my life I am a character who always fights for his dreams and almost always achieves it. This keeps me constantly motivated.
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me? Words are the biggest weight we carry on us. They weigh or relieve a lot. I am the narrator of my story, of course I am. And not only that, I myself am writing the script as well. If I fail it will be because of me, I won’t be able to blame anyone else.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime? My mother is my big fans and my big support. It’s like my coach since I was born. She has always told me: You can! And I repeat that phrase to myself constantly.
Which people or companies would I like to work with in 2023? I would like to work with TV producers and photographers. My goal is to make programs in Spain to show the gastronomic and wine-growing wealth of this country. I would like to work with American TV channels like CNN, El Gourmet, or make documentaries for Netflix or Amazon Prime about gastronomy. What project, in 2023, am I looking forward to work on? At this moment I am working on my own projects, which are to offer courses on gastronomic photography on my website http://www.andreinacontreras.es. Then in the medium term I will focus on TV production to produce gastronomy programs. I currently do this job at a local television station but I would like to do it nationally and for America. I want this to be possible.
