What is the best thing that I love about my work?
A genial music never gets boring, on the contrary, every time I love it more and more, and every time I discover something new. I love sharing my feelings and emotions with the public. I often play concerts in nursing homes. It’s very touching when my listeners become a little happier.
What is my idea of happiness?
Happiness is when dreams come true, I can say that I am very happy, because I live in Paris, it was the city of my dream!
What is my greatest fear?
If you are afraid of something, you attract it. So I try not to think about fears.
What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?
Uncertainty, I always doubt whether I can do my work well enough.
Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?
Vadim Repin, I have admired him since my childhood. He is outstanding violinist and very kind person. I was lucky listen to him live at the festival in Verbier.
What is my greatest extravagance?
I don’t know, maybe my passion for cosmetics? French women don’t use much makeup, but I can leave home in the morning with bright red lipstick.)
On what occasion would I lie?
I will not tell the truth to a person if it can hurt him.
What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?
I don’t like, if someone does not take the profession of a musician seriously, devalue it. Some amateur orchestras ask professionals to help them play a concert, and they are very surprised that they have to pay for it, they say: “we are all volunteers, we play for pleasure, because we love music.” But they themselves don’t work in their profession just for pleasure! I play a lot of charity concerts when I want to help people, but that doesn’t mean that professionals have to work for free.
When and where was I the happiest, in my work?
I was happy when I played in the chamber orchestra “Soloists of Uzbekistan” in Tashkent. We had a very friendly team, many interesting concerts. I went to every rehearsal with pleasure.
And here in Paris I met colleagues from the former Soviet Union, and I am happy to work with them now.
If I could, what would I change about myself?
Probably nothing. In general, everything suits me ))
What is my greatest achievement in work?
My greatest achievement is the violin’s solo from ballets, such as: “Swan lake”, “Beauty sleeping” of Tchaikovsky, “Raymonda” of Glazunov and others I performed at the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Opera and Ballet named Navoi in Tashkent. And my recitals and performances as soloists with orchestras in Uzbekistan and in France.
Where would I most like to live?
As I said already, in Paris of course!
What is my most treasured possession?
My loved ones!
What is my most marked characteristic?
My faith in miracles! )
What is my most inspirational location, in my city?
Montsouris park. We like to have picnics with friends there.
What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?
I have two favorite places: the restaurant of Russian kitchen “Kalinka” and another restaurant of Uzbek kitchen “Bukhara” on the same street, rue de Trevise in the 9th arrondissement. Their owners are from Uzbekistan. And chefs cook food really like home! I recommend, it’s very deliciously!
What books influenced my life and how?
“The secret” by Rhonda Byrne, “Mind power” by John Kehoe and the book with a funny title “The experience of a fool: who had an epiphany about how to get rid of his glasses” by Mirzakarim Norbekov. Thanks to these books, I realized that everything is possible, everything is in our hands.
You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?
It’s not important what music it will be, but I prefer not to listen, but to play myself, even if I’m 200 years old ))
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?
My hero is Athos from “3 Musketeers” by Alexandre Dumas: noble, generous, true knight.
Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?
Those who create their own lives, who don’t depend of others opinion, who have the courage to go their own way. And most importantly, they are sincere, empathetic people, ready to help.
Which movie would i recommend to see once in a lifetime?
“Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson”, film director Igor Maslennikov.
There are many versions of this story, but this one is the best!
Brilliant actors: Vasily Livanov as Sherlock Holmes and Vitaly Solomin as Dr Watson and amazing music of Vladimir Dashkevich made this movie extremely popular.
What role play stories in my life and work?
The stories that happen in my life affect my creation in one way or another. life experience enriches the palette of feelings.
What do the words ‘You are the storyteller of your own life’ to me?
It means that I am the author of my life. It will be a sad story or a funny one, a comedy or a tragedy, a drama or a thriller, a love story or a detective story, the author decides himself.
Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?
My daughter! If suddenly I commit a crime, she will provide me with an alibi and hide the evidence. It’s joke! )))
Which people or companies would I like to work with ?
I would like to continue to work with the conductor Felix Matus-Echaiz.
And maybe one day I will play in the Orchestra Philharmonic of Radio France? Yes, I’m a great dreamer, but why not? ))
What project am I looking forward to work on?
I have arranged a piece by the Uzbek composer Fattah Nazarov for a chamber orchestra, and I am getting ready for the concert.
